If a scream of horror was enough to stop war, there would be no more war.

Given what we know about mankind, is it even wise to have children?

No matter how many books you read, no matter how much you live, there are some things in this world that you will never, ever understand. And perhaps you wouldn't want to.

This island is a prison. And my mind is one.

Oi, and you: stop tempting him towards bloody suicide! He's got a daughter, barely a week old, on this island, right now....!

You know how many mortals I've seen whine about their lives? If he's going to complain about how pointless it is he needs to either suck it up and be a man who takes care of his family or go ahead and take the coward's way out.

Thank you so much for your compassion and understanding.

Walk a few centuries in my shoes and then you can complain. God I don't know how Cassandra's managed to stay sane after a few thousand years.

I apologise, I didn't realise there was an age-restriction on it.

Look, I'm probably coming on too strong about this but you know what it's like watching the younger generation do things you know will end badly?

Try adding a couple centuries or tens of centuries to that and you'll get what I'm trying to say. I've seen the effects of suicide on those who are left behind, and it isn't something that only lasts 'but a short time'. If you absolutely think there's no other way then don't let me stop you, just don't fool yourself in thinking that there will be anyone who benefits from your death.

It's fine. I am aware that I am being melodramatic.

They're better off without me
