Freckles brought me this nice shiny new piece of gadgetry and tells me it's called a computer, and spent the better part of a day teaching me how to use it. She deserves a raise, bossman. Or at least a raise in her allowance. She's going to make one hell of a nurse someday.

Anyway, she tells me I need to introduce myself. I'm Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes, Served with the 107th in the war, and got bot bumped up to a special team after a daring rescue from a real good pal of mine, who single handed saved three hundred other men from certain death.

Right, back to the introduction. People I call friends call me Bucky. The dames often called me Sergeant. I'm not going to knock either.

Hey Steve, both of you, who knew that typing class would do me any good, huh? And you thought I was just taking it for the broads.

Her name is Sophia, for the record.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I would like you to come by the brownstone for dinner when you're up to it. Looks just like the ones back home.

Oh yeah, I know. But she's got the most adorable freckles.

Yeah?

She is adorable, I'll give you that.

Lil has really turned it into a home, too. It's amazing.

We got her blushing something fierce over here. And she says 'Hi'.

You wouldn't get jealous if I asked to borrow her when I find my place would ya?

You should ask her about Hans.

Jealousy is for men who don't trust the woman they love.

I didn't have to. She read that and turned three shades of red! What she working for a living for? Dame that cute should have families lined up.

I'm glad to hear that. I had to wonder with the glare you gave me cause I took her out dancing.

She's 14, Bucky.

That glare was a joke. I thought you knew me better.

I know I know. That's why I said families, Steven. Not young bucks.

I do, poking at you for the glare is my way of joking back.

She's got a pretty good adopted family here. Mitchell and Annie are mom and dad and Clint is like another dad. We all look after her.

If we were face to face I would have picked up on that.

Well that's good to know. I'd hate to know she had to work the ward to pay for her supper, with a smile like that.

I hope so. Otherwise you might be losing your touch, being a married man and all.

She's very well taken care of, as are all of the kids around here. None of them have to worry about having homes or finding food.

Lil keeps me on my toes for sure.

That's good to hear. Wouldn't want any of them going through what we did.

She good at the sarcasm?
