So what does everybody do for fun here? It's a little boring with nothing to do.

Oh. You could write? That's kind of a science.

Well, as a journalist you know how to find out things. How to dig. How to do research. That's all poking around in scientific stuff is really. Except you do it with words instead of like... formulas for instance.

I don't get it but then I'm not a scientist.

Oh! It does. Books are the best. Or a very close second to Science, in my book.

Hemingway, Welles, Edgar Allen Poe, Daphne Du Maurier... and my all time favourite Harper Lee.

Jane Eyre is one of my favorites. But, my all time favorite book ever is Little Women. I've had to dig up at least six volume of it because I've read the pieces out of the others, and the pages fall out. Oh and Swan Song by Robert McCammon.

When I came from you were just a few weeks away from marrying a guy named Dave and hadn't even given Richie a second thought in years so forgive me if that's what I was going on. He's a great guy and a very good friend and it's nice to finally have someone see me this way.

Hi. Seventeen here. And have liked Richie since we were thirteen. I haven't even set eyes on this 'Dave'. He seems like a lame excuse for you to be a crappy sister

How would you feel if I hit on Tim huh? If I seduced him? Though, it's something I would never do, because I know how you feel about him. And I care whether or not I hurt your feelings.

Though maybe I should stop. Because my feelings are about as important to you as three day old dog poop on your shoe.

Go ahead and hit on Tim. It doesn't matter because I know that I will never be anything but a friend to him. He'll never love me like that. So hit on him all you want.

You can sit there and say that your feelings don't matter to me, but it's not true. Would it make you feel better if I just stop? If I go back to the way things were? Never having a chance at anybody ever loving me and only having friends? Which, by the way, Richie and I are. We're still just friends. Maybe it might turn into something more some day, maybe not. You want me to back off, I'll back off. You want him, he's all yours. Because obviously Richie being completely available for you to continue to pine after and never say any damn thing about your feelings for him because you're too busy being locked away in your damn lab is far more important than me having a tiny little glimmer of hapiness and hope in my life.

Yes, my feelings definitely matter to you.

I don't Want Tim! I've never ever looked at him in that way because You've always looked at him that way. I'm trying to make a point and you're being purposely obtuse. Trying to make me feel bad because you're being a backstabbing, two faced... Mean girl slut!

Do whatever you want. You do anyway. The damage is already done. Have a nice life.

And for future reference, I'm locked away in the lab trying to find Dad. Because he's more important to me than fucking my sisters crush.

I have been actually over there looking for dad. We decided to have a night off so we didn't get burned out. The only part of it that was planned was going to the show and to dinner. Things just happened. I'm not going to apologize because I don't regret it. It was a wonderful night. Maybe if you'd had the balls to actually tell Richie how you felt nothing would have happened. I don't know.

Call me a mean girl slut all you want but I am not two faced because I never told you one thing to.your face and did another behind your back.

How nice for you. Excuses to make this okay just roll right from your fingertips. I didn't realize what a shmoozer you really were. It's a shame I would have saved myself a whole lot of heartache if I'd known I couldn't trust my own sister not to go behind my back and lose her sense of loyalty in her vagina.

You are two faced. Unless you don't think loyalty between someone you shared a womb with should be implied. Unless you don't assume that your twin sister is going to steal the boy that you've had a crush on since boys stopped having cooties. Unless you don't assume your sister would live up to a code that friends have. But I guess orgasms are thicker than blood for you.

Like I said. Have a nice life. I hope you ruining mine makes it worth it.

And before you bring up 'Dave' again, maybe this is why I had to wait for him in the first place. Because there's no way that Richie will ever look at me now. So thank you. For ruining whatever happiness I could have had once the crisises are through, and I have five minutes to not think about research and facts and figures.

That's good. There are a lot of kids on the island. I'm not sure who's in charge of teaching and day care though. Try posting something to the network and I'm sure someone will tell you how you can help with that.
