Well, I think it's high time I made some sort of announcement, especially considering I - well, I didn't really want to make it yesterday as yesterday was Friday the 13th, but...

Well...

I'm of age, now! As in 18, as in voting age, not necessarily drinking age (although... I suppose there are enough Europeans here that it doesn't really matter whether or not I drink! heh!). Anyway's, well. I just thought a brief announcement was in order...

My birthday was Friday the 13th... Which is sorta strange to think about, now... Especially given that I wasn't even supposed to have an eighteenth birthday, on account of my-

Well, this was supposed to be a Brief announcement, wasn't it? So... there you go...! I'm 18 now; please treat me as an adult, please. I mean, not that anyone here was treating me like a child, of course, just - well, You Know what I mean, I'm sure....!

Thanks very much, sir...! I mean, I think there's something to be said for America being the Great Land of the Age Restrictions, like - well, the age restriction on Drinking, and working, too....! I mean, I think that in my time, I could only work four hours a day... because the government would rather see me in school than working!

And.... how's your leg doing, sir?

Is it? Not in my day, I suppose. But then, a lot of things changed since then.

School at 18? I think they rathered seeing us in the army. But then, there was a war on when I was your age.

Oh, indeed, sir....! I mean at 17, not 18: for the whole "school" business, and the work restrictions, at least! I mean, I tried to work more hours, of course, but... well... I just couldn't do it... and not just because of my -- well, my cancer... But because of the age restrictions when I was working...! I mean, I wish I'd survived to 18 out -- there, you know, to take care of my poor old mum! She's worked so damned hard her entire life looking after me, and it's about time she had a chance to kick her heels back and relax! But... well... I guess she's all alone now....!

Sorry, sir...! Didn't mean to bring you down - again that is! Heh...

Anyway's, well... that's good to hear at least, sir....
