In bull-fighting they speak of the terrain of the bull and the terrain of the bull-fighter. As long as a bull-fighter stays in his own terrain he is comparatively safe. Each time he enters into the terrain of the bull he is in great danger. Belmonte, in his best days, worked always in the terrain of the bull. This way he gave the sensation of coming tragedy.

Also, the bulls have no balls.

Ah well... I didn't know what a condom was, either, until I took the school course... I suppose it's because my brother is-- well, was Catholic, and thus -- well... the idea of wasting "seed" into a bloody piece of rubber -- it was a little bit out there, rather for him...! Heh...

Anyway's, you'll have no argument from me on the subject of American Puritans. I mean, I think that they're utterly ridiculous! I've been to America once, and though there wasn't any Prohibition anymore, but I suspect people had looked at me funny for wearing a bloody low-cut sundress. (In fairness, it was October, but I was in Louisiana, and it was bloody warm to me, especially compared to England!)

I was about 23! I think that was exactly the same reasoning in America. The government didn't want us to know about something they considered so immoral. So much for the separation of church and state.

They are, they really are. It was a real eye-opener when I started to travel around, and realise that not everyone was so conservative. I guess that's why I was so taken with Pamplona.
