Hello,

I can't remember if we've met before but my name is Dick Winters. I understand you two run the main farm around here and I thought I'd see if you could use any help. While I'm not a farmer, I spent a good number of seasons helping out relatives and friends who did, some of whom were what we call 'Pennsylvania Dutch' who didn't use modern equipment.

This is my roundabout way of saying I've got some experience and I'd like to help out. I'm bored and I need want something to do that doesn't involve me carrying a gun.

Sincerely

Dick Winters

Yes ma'am, that'd be swell. I'll see you there.

See you then. Be sure to wear something you can stand to get muddy and dirty, now. Just in case.

I've got dungarees and boots, getting muddy won't be an issue.
