So those doors that spontaneously open up around the island. I'm given to understand that they lead to people's home worlds. Does that actually allow us to communicate with people back in our own realities? Or is it just like a holodeck program, where it appears to be home, but nothing we do there actually has lasting influence on that reality? I'd like to know if mine still exists.

Also, do we get new seasons of TV shows here? Because the second half of the final season of Breaking Bad starts up in a month. Obviously, I would not want to miss that.

I wonder how that would apply to those able to use... less traditional forms of communication.

Professor X?

I mean, I don't think that would affect the Breaking Bad situation much. But it might be useful for communicating with people from back home. Although I'm not sure there would be any reliable way to test it. We'd be throwing something out, and then waiting and hoping.

People do that without realising all the time, .... Mr. Stark.

Did you get that from my brain, or my username?

Your username, I do try to keep out of people's minds unless they give me their permission. There are obviously exceptions to the rule, but I only think it's polite

Someone with your name did once politely inform me and several of my comrades about my underwear preferences, so I wasn't sure.

(This, notably, was not information you would have gathered from first-hand experience.)

That's unfortunate

My bad, I suppose. Sometimes it's difficult, especially if for one reason or another, you're loud about your black calvin klein boxer briefs underwear.

You know, I'm not really sure how to be loud -- or not loud -- about my underwear preferences.

Although I may have expressed some doubt, thus presenting it as a challenge, so I guess that one wasn't all you.

The doors just started showing up a few months ago, but they're all in one building. So far we've only had Happy Fun Land, and Isabel's hometown. So it's a possibility, not that I would want to go to my specific home unless it was to. There's no telling if it actually lasts though. We were able to clear out Happy Fun Land, but I don't know what happened after the door closed and vanished.

We do get new seasons of stuff. I was... I've seen that my son's father is still alive and well, and surviving in a prison somewhere in Georgia.

Not Breaking Bad, I hope.

It was just a joke.

It's a pretty good show if you can pretend that you've never met the people involved. Otherwise it's pretty gut wrenching when they get chewed on.

If they could get Siri to sound like Jarvis I might be tempted to swap in my android. But since my phone is connected to the real thing, I guess I don't have to wait.

It's hard to tell with you.

Right now, in Arlington, you're all fictional characters so there's no way for you to communicate with anyone from your home.

I have had conversations with my parents and my friends but I have no idea if they're going to remember them when the door closes. None of them seemed to notice I was gone, though.
