The weather here is not conducive to focus; but having been brought here for the purpose of (I only assume) reflection, I've done what I can to put the heat out of mind. Still, my answers are less than satisfactory.

I. Every act, of man or God, has a purpose.
II. My arrival here was undoubtedly the result of some such act.
III. I've therefore been sent here for some purpose.
IV. Coming here has allowed me to learn of the events that make up my next (and final) two years of life, and those of most of my friends.
V. I'm meant to do something with - or learn something from - this information, which I could never have gathered without coming here.

And there I'm lost. I regret none of it; I would change none of it. What am I to learn from discovering that I've done exactly as I would do today, given the opportunity?

	I like to think that it will one day. I have learned that my work is taught in schools nearly 100 years in my future. I simply mean that when I write, I write what is my truth, without concerning myself with publication until later. And I have done do, I very nearly died in the Great War. (Reply to this) (Parent)
