Greetings, citizens.

Might I inquire as to our current location, as well as the current date and time?

It seems that my traveling companion and I have gone off course, and we no longer recognize our surroundings. Though they do appear to be earth-like.

Not sure of that, honestly.

I can tell you that I'm from the 24th Turn of the 9th Pass, but I'm sure that doesn't mean anything to you. And everybody's going to give you a different answer.

When it is here? I haven't figured that out yet.

That is highly irregular.

To be sure.

But welcome, anyway. So far as I know, there's no way back. We've tried to take the dragons between back to Benden, and nothing happens.

Dragons?

Sure. Guess they don't have dragons where you're from, either?

They do not. On earth, tales were told of dragons, but they never existed as such. It has been speculated that accounts of spitting cobras may be the origin of the myths of fire-breathing dragons. But other possible inspirations for this myth have been proposed. Nile crocodiles, though now very restricted in range, were in ancient times occasionally found in Southern Europe, having swum across the Mediterranean. Such wayward crocodiles may have inspired dragon myths. Skeletons of whales, as well as dinosaur and mammalian fossils may have been occasionally mistaken for the bones of dragons and other mythological creatures; for example, a discovery in 300 BCE in Wucheng, Sichuan, China, was labeled as such by Chang Qu. However, no true dragon ever walked the earth.

Well, Golanth would beg to differ, I'm afraid.

Although he likes flying a lot more than walking.

Then I imagine the planet he hails from is quite different from earth.

Well, it's quite a bit different than here, if this is Earth.

Sorry I can't help you more.

I would be curious to see this "dragon" you speak of.

Sure thing. If you want to meet us in the park?

And just a warning, he's big.

I have no objections to this plan. I will confer with my traveling companion.

Just let me know. I'm quite a ways from town at the moment but I can be there in seconds.
