The Bidding Starts...... NOW!
For those of you who are new, I explained a few weeks ago that we'd once had a auction for women to bid on men for a date. It's not as desperate as it sounds. It was done for the good of the community. And it was fun.

The men listed their names ages and something special to that made them stand out. And then the ladies got to bid on them. And they treated the women who won to a day, or a night, on the town. It didn't have to be romantic, just fun and, or, enlightening for both parties.

I decided that it was time to do it again. Only since the female population is much smaller than the male that i'd ask the girls to offer up a day of their time to entertain whoever the winning bidder was.

What are you bidding, do you ask, since we don't use cash, and we work on the honor 'take only what you need' code? Well, see, we're a working community. Thinks don't just appear for your enjoyment. Turgon does a lovely job working around this place making it pleasing to the eye, Mitchell, me and Merry work to keep the pub stocked with nice cold brews, and delicious junk foods, and Applejack and Big Macintosh keep the farm running so all of that is possible. (Isabell and Briseis run the Diner and Bakery, but since they didn't put in a request for help... Well they can still if there are fellas that get overzealous with the bidding!) This is what you'll be using to bid with, work. You will do the things that they tell you to do. Or I tell you to do if you don't make it passed pub level. Who knows! You might like it.

The bidding is actually open to both sexes. So ladies if you see a lovely girl that has marked both on her application, you can throw your hat in. Or if you just want to give one of the menfolk a run for their money go right ahead, because you can't let them have it too easily. Right?

Anyway! Go here! And let the bidding begin! Once the bids slow down, or Wednesday comes (Friday if things haven't slowed down by Wednesday!) the bidding will be closed, and the winners will be annouced the following day.

Remember this is all in good fun! Happy Bidding.

Woah, we're bidding on girls?

Yes, sort of. Just dates mostly, I figure it would be incentive for the menfolk to put their muscles to good use.

Ha, people are certainly welcome to take turns washing Golanth. I've washed him enough times in my life already.

Well, with the ocean right there, can they just cannonball in?

Oh, sure, but that doesn't mean he'll get clean. Just wet.

Good point I'm sure it would have to become one giant bubble bath for that to work.

Where'd I lose you? Bubbles? Or boobs?

Ummm...

Bubbles, lady. Definitely bubbles.

Well, since it was the bubbles... Do you think one of your dragons would fit in the big swimming pools? Or have you not given the city a fly over yet?

No, I don't think he would. He's 43 meters long, from nose to tail.

I think one of them is Olympic size! It would work. How wide is he? I mean it's only about 2-2.5 meters deep but it's better than trying to dry wash them.

Well, it depends on when he ate last?

Or we could wash them in the sea?

He can't get as big as 25 meters wide, can he?

You could but I just think of the salt and how it makes my skin all sticky. I imagine his would be too.

He likes bathing in the sea! But as you wish, as long as he gets clean.

Oh, well, if he likes it. Hey, can they fish? Because there's a rather big prehistoric shark that's been seen over by the elvish castle I think.

I assume they can.

Sharks? How big? They can be hurt, you know.

Well... Twenty meters in length eight in height. But they are very... strong so they wouldn't be an easy kill, but it might be good exercise?

Maybe.

Golanth says to tell you he isn't terribly fond of fish.

Well, would he scrunch his nose at a rather pesky T-Rex? Or is that to close relation?

What about the other two? Are they picky eaters?

What's a t-rex?

[After a moment]

Golanth says he really prefers herdbeast, but that Canth likes fish.

It's what my world calls a dinosaur. It's was killed off millions of years ago, but there's a whole lot of them here. This is what it looks like. Or one of them anyway.

Golanth might have to find something else to eat. Herdbeasts... Well we only have one that I know of, and Sherlock wouldn't like his purple Cow eaten. There are Dear, and creatures like it, but they aren't in abundance either.

Oh, huh. I don't think those are related to dragons. Dragons come from firelizards, which are like a tiny version of them. Cute little things.

Deer would be okay. We were talking to Lord Fingolfin earlier today about possibly needing to find or train a herdmaster to breed herds for the dragons. We don't want their eating habits to make people uncomfortable, or to deplete the supply. But they have to eat.

Well, yeah I don't know if Dragons were more than just myth were I come from. But it's hard to say. The T-Rexes are from there-ish I think.

That would take a while to build up a herd though. Maybe we'll run across a door?
