Greetings!

I have been made aware that the situation in this strange place has been made more dire by recent events, with the thing termed 'electricity' and its apparent failure in the moment.

As such, I offer our home, Vinyamar, as a place of residence to all who so seek shelter from the dark. We are well educated on survival in--what the modern world calls, I have learned--a pre-industrial society.

You are welcome to come to our halls - we have enough rooms to house more than the current population in its entirety.

We will turn away none based on race, religion, creed, or species. If you so choose to join us now or later, the offer stands.

added
Additionally, any who require aid through the mountain pass will be met by one of our own to guide you.

[Filtered; Fingon]
You will attend the council the others have called, and report back to me.

You raise a valid point, my lady. I will discuss the issue with my kin. Though as an alternative to the forest and mountain pass, one amongst us does sail a ship with which he might bear individuals to and from one end of the island.

He is human, and therefore little has changed about him if at all.

It is one option of many.

You cannot leave.

But I think...perhaps it is a good idea. And perhaps a gesture of good will.

I know the misgivings of our people though. I seek their wellbeing.

There are many misgivings, my lord, and for good reason.

But one must cross the bridge first, and perhaps that should be us. Are we not the wiser?

Aye. I see the wisdom in the decision, but my heart says be wary.

I trust to your heart, Ñolo, for you are wise and fair.

But may not the decision be made in the morning? Rest on it. It is late, and you should rest.

We will not do things like we did today until you are better.

I am sorry.

But I shall control my urges from now on.

And when you are better we shall...

...make up for lost time.

It would be easier than trying to transport more than a hundred people to your castle. And as much as I hate to admit, not because I don't want aid but because I despise my own weakness, we will need the guard.

I don't trust this place not to sink his ship with everyone on it. It may be fatalist thinking, but with so many people at human status, we can't risk it.

I do not believe needing aid is weakness. When not bound by pride we are free to act in our own and others' best interests.

I have spoken with my kith and kin and heard their stories. Despite the misgivings they have expressed, I deemed it wise for them to follow your counsel.

They will return to the city; my son Fingon speaks with my authority and leadership while I am [...] otherwise indisposed and it is to him you may turn your questions and concerns while they are amongst you.

Seeking aid isn't a weakness. Needing it, maybe a little. I'm not used to needing to depend on anyone. Or being able to, before I was drawn out of my world. It's a hard to break that way of thinking.

On behalf of the rest of the population, I thank you Your Majesty.

I'll leave word with the Security heads. I'm sure together they can come up with a good patrol route to insure everyone's safety.

Should you need anything let me know, and I'll send what I can by way of Micha, if she doesn't protest.

Why would I protest? But you would have to get it out to the beach for me to be able to take it somewhere else along the coast.

Cause I didn't ask first? I can still drive, so I can drive down the path to get you anything they may need.

I agree that asking first is common courtesy, but in this case I don't mind. Just let me know.

I will next time, it was just an instant plan that just kinda popped out without full thought behind it.
