I have a desperate and serious need of gold!

Pure gold, mixed with nothing, that can be hammered out thin enough to use as a hair ribbon. I have but six of them with me, and it is not nearly enough. I like to wear three braids on each side, and if I lose one, as I almost did in the sea, it is a cruel fate to be sure.

So!

Is there gold in the hills, and those who can mine it?

Each of those situations you spoke of were unique instances, and I believe they were caused by lack of understanding and (in some cases) hurt feelings at perceived insults whether intended or not.

In Lord Elrond's case, his offer to help was well intentioned and for the most part well received. In that case though the doctors already knew how to treat the problem and time was of the essence, I'm sure he and the human doctors on the island could learn much from each other if they were to discuss medicine in a less time critical setting.

	From what I've seen he is generally disagreeable and cantankerous with all but a select few he approves of, I wouldn't feel singled out. It is very easy on these devices for someone to say something in the heat of the moment that they might not otherwise, even if they do not regret the words later. (Reply to this) (Parent)
