Would any other lady be willing to come shopping with me? I have no clothes and I'd very much like some advice as to what to wear. I have a date to keep, after all.

I would like to come along, if I may?

I should like to try wearing some of those, what are they called, pants.

I'd love for you to join us. The more the merrier.

I can't say I enjoy wearing them much, I prefer the freedom of dresses and skirts, to feel like a lady. Plus Steve's a leg man

I have been forced my whole life into 'feeling like a lady', and I think there is more to it than what you wear. I want to be my own person. Perhaps I will like them, perhaps I will not, but I want to try.

Let's find you some nice trousers, then :)

Perhaps something very tight, that shows my form. I think my husband would like that, and I want to see his face.

I think we can do that. If you're willing to be adventurous, perhaps I should be as well. Though I can't give up my red lipstick, I'd like to try modern clothing.

What is lipstick?

It's a sort of paint with which to paint ones lips - mostly women's - pretty colours. Most common colours are red and pink shades but my preference is for red.

Then I shall have to try some of that, too!

Wonderful! I can help with that part. I promise that husband of yours will fall in love with you all over again.

Thank you!

But I am most certain that happened quite nicely last night.

He is a lovely man. Have you met him?

He is noble and lordly, yet gentle and tender, and very handsome indeed.

I don't believe I've had the pleasure, no. You're a lucky woman to have a great husband

I shall introduce you to him sometime. His name is Éomer, and I truly do love him.

Sounds good to me. I feel like I've spent the last few months locked up in the apartment, it'll be good to have a few of us together doing stuff.

Hopefully in a few more weeks I'll actually be able to fit in normal clothes again.

I'm certain you could fit into your clothes now, Bridget. Don't do yourself a disservice.

Considering I just gave birth to two future linebackers a few weeks ago? I've still got some baby weight to lose. But thank you very much for the compliment.

How are you finding motherhood? I've always wanted children...

Exhausting so far. :) All they do is eat, sleep, poop, and cry right now. But I wouldn't trade them for anything.

I'm sure you'd make a great mom. And Steve is a grade A hunk.

Haha. My sister has.. had?... has children. She always spoke to me about how wonderful and terrible it was at the same time. I was never sure whether she was joking.

Perhaps in a few years, if I'm lucky and if I can convince Steve

Well mine aren't really at a stage where I get to 'enjoy' them yet, and I have two to deal with at the same time, so that probably changes the equation a bit.

And I would say 'has'. I don't think the times we came from really apply here, people just use 2013 for convenience since that seems to be right around when most people are from give or take a year. Though with all the Middle Earth types coming in maybe the dating system will change...

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

I don't know what you mean by Middle Earth types but I'm from 1942. 2013... I'd be 96. Or dead. Goodness.

At my last birthday I was 25 years old.

So you're my age then. Cool. Two of my great grandfathers fought in World War II.

I meant all the beings from Middle Earth, that in my world was created by an Oxford Professor named J.R.R. Tolkien for his novels the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. It seems it is a real place in some dimension, somewhere, or the elves and humans that are from there couldn't be here. Just like you

There are so many of them now they probably are the largest subgroup here.

I definitely need to get out and talk to people more. There's so much I've missed out on, so much to catch up on.

Anytime. :)

We're all a bunch of immigrants. :) There are just a few groups of people that each came from the same places is all.

And this is much better than where I was so I can't complain too much.
