If everyone only does what they think is right, how can anyone be wrong?

Not completely. The Jedi Order has served as guardian of peace and justice in the Galactica Republic for hundreds of generations, no organization stays unchanged over such a span of time. Let us say I believe in the spirit of the Jedi Code rather than adhere strictly to the letter.

That is well then. I understand order and change, but not perhaps, as well as you do. Might we speak more of your Jedi Code? I am curious to learn.

By all means. There are many additional rules or customs that those who belong to the order generally follow, but the core of the Jedi Code is this:

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no death, there is the Force.

What is the Force?

The Force is an energy field made up of all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together. Those beings that are able to detect and use this energy field are called Force Sensitives. The Jedi Order is an organization made up of Force Sensitives who have dedicated their lives to the study of the Force and protection of the Galactic Republic.

That sounds similar to the spirit of the Earth. In which all living things are connected. Do you feel the Earth as she breathes? The flowers as they bloom and whither? Or the beasts as they hunt in the wilds?

Not exactly. If I concentrated I suppose I could feel the presence of a specific creature but I would say that is more like background radiation, it simply is. It can help guide our actions and give warnings of danger or potential harm. Some, like my former master, could even perceive glimpses of the Future.

But it definitely amplifies our abilities.

Aye, aye. I think that I understand.

My father has the ability of far-sight, and his grandmother before him.

When we die, we simply rejoin the Force.

As my master once put it: Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.
