Hey Islanders.

My name's Blaine Anderson, I just sort of arrived here yesterday, and I don't know if it's customary to introduce yourself on arrival, but hey! Got to be better than just wandering around not knowing anyone.

And hey, it's so weird that this thing has like loads of weird little pictures of me that I didn't even know existed.

Umm- so, I'm a senior from western Ohio. I love singing, boxing, and college football.

	I'll have to look it up, I'm sure Stark has it here somewhere. I never did like bullies, could definitely have used some practice back then. Then again it was pretty often I was fighting them anyway. Yes, probably more of a job than an interest, but I still like to go to the gym when my mind is busy. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Yeah, it's a decent movie, you should give it a go. I know, that's exactly it. I didn't want to just be a victim anymore. Fight fire with fire and all that- not that I condone violence as a long-term solution, it's just nice not to feel overly vulnerable. People leave you alone more when they think you could knock them out. Bullies are cowards, essentially. That's cool, though. I know what you mean, it's good to take your mind off of things that way.

Vulnerability is never a good feeling. And sometimes the only option is violence; it's better to defend yourself than let a bully win. Sometimes they'll do that, ut you can't rely on it, there are those who think they're invincible or who seek out the fight. Bullies can definitely be cowards, or selfish, or insecure. There's always a reason but it never justifies what they do, whether they think it or not. And it just feels good, to be able to, sometimes.

	Yeah, you're right. It's a horrible feeling, one that caused me to transfer schools to get away from those people. And then I thought- no, I'm not going to run anymore, I'm going to learn how to stand up for myself. And yeah, it does feel good to be able to. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Running only ever seems to work for so long. There are always more, no matter where you go, they find a way. It's good you were able to find a way to defend yourself. (Reply to this) (Parent)
