Yes...she died of grief soon after I was born. She could not bear my father's absence after he fell in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad. I remember nothing of either of them.

I was raised by the elves of Amon Darthir after that, until I was taken by Easterlings when I was but seven years old.

Gondolin is the only true home I have known since then.
