I was just reminded of something my granny told me one time.


You can't always choose your relatives but you can always choose your family.


When she first told me, it didn't make sense. And it sounds much prettier in Creole. As I got older, though, I figured out what she meant. Just thought I'd share that little nugget of granny wisdom.
