Pirates of the Caribbean. Two reasons: Who doesn't love smelly dirty pirates? And who doesn't love Johnny Depp as a pirate?

An entertaining movie and Keith Richards should have sued for royalties on that one. I had a hard time seeing how anyone would follow Jack Sparrow though.

Hah! I agree.

I kind of modeled my pirate after him. The train stopped in Tortuga, and we had to fit in. And wench just wasn't me.

Faust. A true masterpiece, one I fell easily in love with. Though I am also partially fond of Hannibal, but only if my sweet Christine plays the lead role of Queen Elissa. I'm very biased.

Um, I'd have to say either Star Wars, or Little Shop of Horrors. I absolutely *love* campy stuff like that...! Heh!

Nosferatu was swell, or perhaps Grandma's Boy, although I'm certainly a little behind on the times.

Aw! Swell? Really? I mean, something's so absolutely darling about a guy who still uses words like "Swell!" Heh!

I mean - sorry, sir, we haven't been introduced yet. I'm Mary Selwyn, and you are...?

Is the term out of fashion, now? I'm afraid I haven't entirely adapted yet.

It's a pleasure to speak with you, Miss Selwyn, I'm Jay Gatsby.

I remember Nosferatu, good movie for the era. Movies have advanced considerably since then, color came in back in the 40/ and before I left computers could create special effects almost impossible to distinguish from real life.

I'm afraid that I don't entirely understand, although I would be interested to see some of these newer movies. Could you suggest somewhere to start?

I have not just one favorite movie. I have to give you my top 5 or it's a useless list.

Star Wars (the original trilogy all count in one slot)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Soapdish
Grease
Marvel's Avengers

In no particular order. Why? Well, Star Wars got me through high school, Ferris Bueller's Day Off is just awesome. Cameron is my favorite.

Soapdish is amazing because it has Robert Downey Jr, Whoopie Goldberg, Sally Field, Kathy Nijimi, Kathy Moriarty, Elisabeth Shue, Kevin Kline, and Carrie Fisher.

Grease is the first musical I was ever exposed to and John Travolta was freaking GORGEOUS back then.

And Avengers is the newest addition to the list because it's epic and I love Joss Whedon and the whole cast is wonderful and everybody is hot.

So there you go.

I was more a fan of Clark Gable's performance myself than Vivian Leigh's but it was an excellent film for its day.

A form of entertainment. Think of it as a play that has been preserved through technology and can be replayed unlimited times.
