Rena, Kytana, I require assistance at the beach! Something has...happened... to me and I can no longer walk. I can still use the Force, but it feels different. I'm at a loss to explain what's happened so I'll take a picture with the phone.

As you can see my legs have been replaced by a rather long tail. I can only deduce that this is at the hands of whatever controls the Spire but I can't be certain of that.

Help?

Not to me, but I'm sure they think we must be horribly ugly to look at so it is all relative. Though I suppose I shouldn't be including myself in with humans at the moment.

That wouldn't be the ideal solution but it would work for the short term.

Master Yoda would be horribly let down by this but...I'm trying. Highly distressing is something of an understatement, if I were not a Jedi I would probably be catatonic.

By the Force I devoutly hope not! I have no wish to be stuck in the water by myself when everyone else is off doing things on land. I may no longer be human but I'm a social creature.

You are still mostly human from the looks of it.

The baths are deep enough to keep you mostly covered by water. Or you could be moved to a more interior body of water.

I think, under the circumstances he would understand. I doubt any of the masters have faced being changed into... Half anything else.

Then we will hope that you return. But should you not, between Tony and myself, I am sure we can come up with something that would functionally move you about land and keep you wet.

The more I get acclimated to this form the more I think 'look' is likely the operative word, though we'd need a med scanner to examine my insides to be sure. Everything feels different: physically, mentally, even my connection with the Force feels different!

Thank you, I hope it doesn't come to that too but I'm glad to have someone of your technical background here just in case.

I'm sorry.

My emotions are stronger and more volatile, Jedi calm and serenity are proving harder to come by. Ideas that never would have occurred to me before now seem natural.

Physically my skin is more sensitive to the touch, and my sense of hearing is much improved.

As to the Force...I'm much more aware of the life on this world than I was before, in tune with it better perhaps. I can sense the presence of creatures that didn't register before and out to a greater distance.

But I've never even heard of any species called 'mermaid' before this, I don't think my new form exists in our galaxy, or at least nowhere explored by the republic.

One of the things I'm noticing is I'm very...attracted to you. I always looked up to you, you were my childhood idol, but this is different. Physical. I know a Jedi isn't supposed to be swayed by passion but Jedi serenity is elusive at the moment.

I hadn't thought of Rena's droid, that's a good idea.

I wish I could explain things better, it's as if everything before this happened to me in another life maybe? That I've been pushed one step removed from it in this form. Maybe it's shock. There's nothing in my training that could prepare me for this, whoever heard of being transformed into a different species?

Really? I'm glad he doesn't have to worry about that anymore. What's his lab like? Everything on this world is so primitive.
