Right okay not to piss on anyone's cornflakes or anything, but it occurs to me that we have a lot of different people from different times and worlds and everything and as such perhaps not everyone's aware of the availability and reliability of contraceptives here on the island.

And just in case anyone's unfamiliar with the concept - they're designed to stop a woman from becoming pregnant. There are a number of forms and although I'm not a health care professional I don't mind answering any questions you might have, although you might prefer to direct them to one of the doctors. Doctor Watson seems particularly knowledgeable about the subject and was a great deal of help when I worked out the island cannot be trusted not to remove you from your normal form of birth control.

I tried the implant back home for a while when I first started being sexually active and had some adverse side effects. It's rare that that happens, though. So I agree with you on that. And it is available. I checked the stores at the hospital.

Some tests definitely have to be run on each woman to determine what is the best type of birth control.

Oh I know. Watson put mine in here. I was on the pill before.

This is why I suggested people talk to Watson about it. O just wanted to make sure people knew there was contraception available.

They can talk to me too. I know some women don't feel comfortable talking to a man about this kind of thing.

Of course. I can edit the post if you want. I only mentioned Watson, since I've had dealings with him in this context.

That's okay. The funny thing is I made a post similar to this one a few months back and got only one response from it and she never actually turned up for her appointment.

I think I caught the attention of people by starting with the words 'not to piss on anyone's cornflakes'

That tends to make people pay attention, yeah. Being practical and professional just makes it boring and totally skipable.

I don't think I'm being unpractical.

You're not being impractical. It's just that your opening was a little bit better at getting people's attention than mine was.

What can I say I'm good at provoking reactions. Clearly this is what living with a spin doctor and having a media degree does for you.
