Right okay not to piss on anyone's cornflakes or anything, but it occurs to me that we have a lot of different people from different times and worlds and everything and as such perhaps not everyone's aware of the availability and reliability of contraceptives here on the island.

And just in case anyone's unfamiliar with the concept - they're designed to stop a woman from becoming pregnant. There are a number of forms and although I'm not a health care professional I don't mind answering any questions you might have, although you might prefer to direct them to one of the doctors. Doctor Watson seems particularly knowledgeable about the subject and was a great deal of help when I worked out the island cannot be trusted not to remove you from your normal form of birth control.

well as I said there are difficult kinds. There's a pill, which the woman takes every day, though it takes a little while to become effective and then there are condoms, which is an external form of contraceptive than the man wears, generally made of latex, which is much more affective than sheep's bladders or whatever it was they used to use.

Those are probably the two most common types.

There's also an injection and an implant, both of which again are used by the woman.
