All right?

Since things have been sketchy as fuck, and we've lost a load of people as well as gained some new faces- and the night club has been lying empty since the new years party- I thought we could all enjoy a wee get-together.

Since I'm more used to delegating than actually doing anything, one of our new residents you may have heard of, Jay Gatsby, is going to be taking over the club for the evening of Saturday March 23rd. He'll be entertaining you all with some jazz and gin and whatever else they did in the 1920s, I don't know, but it'll be a fucking good night, yeah? Oh, and in his own words, the dress code is "no riff raff".

If anyone wants to contribute anything- or has any questions- you can either pass them through me, or ask him directly. Or I'm sure Mr Carraway will eagerly answer just about anything, as well.

Cheers,
Malc

[ooc: Malcolm has also put up a poster in the foyer of each apartment building, one on the door to the night club, and one on the noticeboard in the pub. It looks like this, but obviously with the information changed to be accurate.]

I am simply attempting to understand.

Who is this Fitzgerald? I have never met him, how does he presume to write about me, after my death, despite having never spoken with me? It was narrated by Nick. He sold these stories of me?

Nick doesn't exist in Fitzgerald's world. Or my world. You don't exist in my world. Daisy doesn't exist in my world. In my world, you're characters in a story that Fitzgerald made up. Doesn't mean you're not real in your world. In your world, Fitzgerald probably doesn't exist. But you're gonna have to deal with it, dude - you're one of the all time best-sellers of the 20th century, in more realities than you can count.

This is not helping, if anything I'm even more confused than when you started to explain. I'm a best-seller, by a man who does not exist "in my world"?

Yup. That.

Just like I'm a fictional character from a hit TV show in most people's worlds. What're ya gonna do about it? You just gotta accept it and move on.
