Would you all stop this madness? Very, very few children are worth getting drunk over, especially if they're complete strangers.

And yes, the kid's outspoken, but I think you all ought to take that as a sign that you need to speak to him as an adult.

As someone who was at both the July and June rebellions, give our proud Frenchmen a break.

As someone who's familiar with Tony Stark through other mediums, give Tony a break.

And respect comes from both sides.

Can it start now?

I agree. But then, sometimes it yields results.

There are always results, to everything that happens.

But there are good results and bad results.

Results create change. And the world thrives on change.

Nothing can stay stagnant.

Alas, this I know bitterly, sir.

Even the beautiful things must fade in time, to leave room for new things to emerge. My world and my time are full of such changes, and they are sad and lovely at the same time.

I've seen humanity evolve and devolve, you could say.

Five thousand years does that to man.

Humanity? You mean the world of men?

I have seen the world of men rise and nearly fall, and the time in which I live will decide the fate of the world.

Five thousand years? I have known those who lived longer, and enjoyed their wisdom.

Well I'm only human, my lady. In a way.

I'm not of your kind.

I do not know this place.

What is your name? I am Arwen Undómiel, daughter of Lord Elrond of Rivendell, granddaughter of Elwing and Eärendil the Mariner, the first to see Aman since the Ñoldor fled.

It's mostly desert, temples and tombs. The part I'm familiar with, anyway. Back then, I wore a skirt and worked on big triangles.

That's a long ass name.

I am Methos, son of someone who's name I've forgotten - but I was related to a king back then.

Or my mother. My first wife. They're just wisps on the wind, only to be remembered during the process of dying.

How do you forget such things? I feel as if every memory I have ever known is etched into my fëa, never to be forgotten.

Because I'm not like you, Arwen. My brain is only human. It forgets.

How sad it must be, to have lived so much, and remember so little.

On the bright side, I've forgotten heartache and grief. Not that I don't encounter it every day again.

I have also known plenty of that, but it is not in the nature of the Eldar to forget.

The world is full of sadness, but it is also full of beauty.

Did you love them?

I'd hope so!

But yes. Most of them, I did love with all my heart.

Only once among my kind has there ever been one who had more than one wife, and that ended in great sorrow and sadness for all of my people.

I have to admit that I've loved them all differently, but still with my whole heart.

True love though, there's nothing that comes close.
