I've been searching this station since I arrived, and I'm now sure my husband isn't out there somewhere, avoiding this network.

I miss him. Has anyone who arrived here without their spouse ever been reunited with them later?

How long had you been here before you were able to go back?

I'm sorry. That's awful. You must have missed him so much.

Yes. My wife arrived some time after I did, but we have been together ever since.

I understand. I have only been here a couple of days, but my wife is expecting, and I miss her like hell.

I’ll follow this communication with interest, and hope there is hopeful news.

I'm sorry. It's so difficult, isn't it? I don't even like it when my Felix has to be away from home for a few days, and now there's this. At least I have our daughter with me.

Did someone tell you that time doesn't pass on the other side while we're here?

It is, very difficult. I have been used to working away, but there have always been letters and some indication that there is an end date to work towards. I'm glad you have your daughter with you. How old is she?

Yes, but someone else told me that we are but a copy of our former selves, and life is going on without anyone noticing our disappearance. Maybe it sounds ridiculous to feel jealous of myself, but I can't stand the thought of another "me" having my life, my wife, and my child. So, I will hang onto the former explanation.

Yes, that's just it, we don't know how long it will be, and that makes it worse. Felix and I haven't ever been apart for this long! Sofronia is two and a half, old enough to miss him.

I don't like that idea either. I'd be jealous too! She wouldn't really be me, even if she looked exactly like me. Rejecting an idea just because you don't like it isn't sensible, I know, but if it helps, the last time this happened to me, there was no copy taking my place.

The last time this happened to you?

Yes. It happened once before. Not this station, somewhere different. My husband and I both ended up there, for months. It was years ago, just after we'd been married.
