Since this is my first Thanksgiving having a restaurant on the station, I'm going to make it big. I'm cooking Turkey three different ways, and have all the traditional sides: Mashed potatoes, Stuffing, Macaroni and Cheese, Deviled Eggs, Green Bean casserole, Sweet Potato Casserole... And deserts.

But if you can think of anything that I'm leaving out let me know and I'll add it.

Also if anyone is interested I need help with chopping, stirring and checking to make sure things don't burn, as payment you'll get to be the first to taste things, and get to lick spoons and bowls.

Seeing as we are all in the hotel. Would you mind doing a feast for all of us in the main dining room?

I am more than ready to help with any of the set up. Cooking, placing, anything you would like me to do. The Holiday seasons are important to many of us, and I would like to help make them special. Especially after everything Higgs has put us through.

Oh yeah I plan on it. I was just mentioning the Resturant because I used to do big meals for everybody on the Island, but haven't done it since.

Then, we should. Sophia and I will be there for it. (Scarlet, Reeve, and Erandur as well, if they like it or not)

And as I offered, I will help in any way that I can.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year... I have never truly had one in my life.

Then there will be a table for you.

Then I'll make you my onion chopper. Am I right, in thinking that the sulfuric acid produced in the chopping wont make you tear up?

Mine too, I've always done what I could to make sure it was always a good day. At least when I was old enough to do so.

We thank you for that table.

Yes, you are correct in your assessment. I will be your onion chopper. Please, let me know if you would like me to do more. I would very much enjoy to help as much as you will allow me.

Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends alike. I feel as though we all need this, or this season..

Well, it was metaphorical, because I can't keep anyone out of the dining room if they want to be there. I mean... I could, but I want to avoid any confrontations on Thanksgiving.

We'll see when time comes, I'll have you, my younger kids, and my daughter Maria helping. But I will have to prepare a lot of food, so you never know.

I see. I do no wish to see any more conflict either.

That sounds like a plan to me, perhaps I can coax Erandur to help as well. He has been rather restless as of late.

I should make Higgs a big jug of sweet tea, and a cake of cornbread and see if he leaves us alone for one day.

He could come supervise at least.

Do you think it's the best idea to bring everyone somewhere so public for this right now? We could still have a big meal at the hotel.

Oh, yeah! I meant... That's what I meant I know it wasn't clear, it was more just a 'since I'm already cooking for more people' thing.

And why are you so eager to share now, when a few weeks ago you were more than willing to take any and all food from us?

There are more of us than there are of you, I was taking what we would need, and had crops and supplies diverted to the hotel over the supermarkets. All that needed to be done was ask, and you would have received.

Thanksgiving is different. And I don't know how things are where you come from, but the young man you replaced is my son. I can only hope where ever he is he's being loved and taken care of.

If there are more of us than you then why do you think we would take so much that there wouldn't be enough? Why do you get to decide what we get and what we don't?

As far as I know, he didn't go anywhere. He's just... not. In the same way someone who is young no longer is when their older self takes their place.

Because we did the work. You didn't. And people who take generally aren't thinking of the people around them who need the food and supplies too.

Let me have my illusion. I have four children that swapped places with their younger selves, meaning an older me got to take care of babies again.

No one took anything. You were the ones hoarding supplies, we just wanted to eat and live and maybe find some enjoyment in life rather than just barely survive, if we were lucky.

If you want to believe that he swapped with me than go ahead but, if that's the case, he's not having a good time.

Oh, so you walked out of the hotel, leaving my granddaughter screaming at the top of her lungs, empty handed? I'll say it again they are our supplies to do with as we see fit. Which, by the way, weekly drop offs have been made of food. If you're not getting any maybe you need to talk to your fellow bodysnatchers.

Way to squash the illusion.

She wasn't screaming when I left. And what would you rather I have done? Take her? I've got food. Because this place gives it to you regularly.

You're the one who insisted on it. Why do you think we wanted to come here? The station we lived on was dead. We didn't get food or good soil or water, we had to fight every moment of every day just to live to the next one. You of all people should know, sometimes you're willing to do anything just to survive.

I don't know, you could have knocked on my door or something like that, and let me know what was going on. So she could have had the attention she needed without having to scream her little head off.

And we don't get a restock until the first of December. Any other restocking is done by our own hands.

We didn't have any of that stuff when we got here either. But we made things work for us, do the jobs that the machines were supposed to do.

Now that's just an outright lie. You have parks and biodomes that grow things, you get food replenished on a regular basis, you have water that's safe to drink without boiling it. You did not do any of that. It was provided.

We had to mix our own waste runoff with the soil just to make enough grow that we could survive, and even that has never been enough. There are no children where I'm from because women can't get enough nutrients to carry to term. The livestock we tried to raise all died because we couldn't even keep grass and weeds growing long enoughto keep them fed. I lost my arm because St someone was sick and we didn't know if the medicine was safe. They tested it on me and the infection was so bad I would have died if we didn't cut it off.

Obviously you have all had to work to make this place what it is, but don't pretend that you weren't given everything you needed to make it happen.

It's not an outright lie! My bet is the Maryanne of your world would tear your throat out for that kind of talk. This place needed a complete reboot when we got here. The gravity wasn't even in working order. How do you think this place got the way it is? Magic? No honey, blood sweat and tears went into making this place home. And still does. My wife works herself to the bone and then some and doesn't complain a bit, or ask for help.

We had to scavenge for everything for the first couple of months before we got a door, and before Finn got things in order. My guess is you guys don't have him, and a few of the other people we have had.

Excuse me? Am I the one that invaded someone else's home on the word of Higgs? No? I thought not. Did we let the Man live to make our lives more miserable than they already were? No on that front too. You're in my home uninvited in the place of my son. So you're lucky to get what you got. You've got no high ground here.
