~~I don't know what I hope to accomplish with this~~

This is a plea to the people that are helping Higgs. We don't know who you are, not all of you, not yet, but we will find you out.

The man you're helping is not who he making himself out to be. Likely your hardships are because of him. He's like a parasite, an entire swarm of locusts. He is low enough that he attacked a child, Richie is a lovable thirteen year old boy, with a smartmouth, but that doesn't make him deserving of anything that Higgs did to him.

Now you guys haven't done anything to hurt anyone yet. And I can't speak for everyone, but I know right now I would still help you however I could. But the moment you cross that line... That's it.

I will tell you now, I was hunted in my world for being a maneater. A literal maneater. And there isn't a single person on this station that I would not kill for. And I'd make sure you'd feel every inch of your death. I've hunted for my food all my life. Hunting you down because you hurt someone I love would be no hardship.

Please consider stepping away from Higgs. Join us in fighting him. You will have food, you will have shelter, you will have everything you need. Can Higgs actually promise you that, without them being empty words and broken promises? As a sign of good faith I will pack ten bags of food, breads, milk, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, fresh veggies... As a taste of what we can GIVE you, because you'll find we've cleared out everything in the shops, because you wont TAKE from us.

Edit: If you're afraid to stand against Higgs, afraid of what he might do to you, we can offer you safe haven. I can insure you will not be interrogated, or threatened if you come to us. You can keep your secrets if that's what you want to do, all I ask is you don't bite the hand that's feeding you. Don't stab us in the back.

Maryanne, I know you're trying to help but is this the best way? If they've come here and are hostile because they think we won't share the resources then shouldn't we just do that, not keep things from them? Show them that we don't want to treat them like they're any less deserving than we are, rather than just say it. This just gives them a reason to try and attack us.

	The shops were cleared out more to keep our people from being tempted to go out alone because we "need stuff". That's why I thought the ten bags of food would work. They aren't shopping bags, they're big feed bags. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

This still feels like...a declaration of war. We're doing exactly what they thought we were going to do, making it Us against Them when they haven't done anything against us. We don't know yet that association with Higgs is an immediate guilty sentence, he could be manipulating them just as much as he tried to manipulate us.

And what about the people not here? Or ones who don't look at the network?

It is a war Steve, it was the second he attacked Loki and John. I'm offering them a shot to shed his stigma, and join us. But also let them know what kind of consequences could befall them if they choose a child abuser over an olive branch.

AJ still has to work the farm, otherwise she'll lose all her hard work for the season, so I'm going to have her and a couple of the other former military people go out and check on them, make sure they're okay, offer rides if need be, make sure they are well stocked if they want to stay and ride it out.

	A war with Higgs. The rest of them haven't done anything to us yet. We don't know anything about them other than they were in a desolate place and starving and are trying to survive. We don't know that they haven't. If they're in the place of people we know, people we care about? Who knows what they did to the other person, the person who's place they are in. Their bodies could be floating out in space somewhere, and we'd never know. They didn't come and ask for help, they came to take what we have, and leave us to rot.

I'm not leaving them to starve, but I'm not putting them in a position to starve out our people either. This stuff wasn't handed to us Steve. We've worked for most of it.

	I'd like to elaborate on that. I'm not exactly human, and I don't do it when I'm human shaped. So I'm not a cannibal. And it was only because I had to, a them or me situation. Well. One of them. 	Southern lawyers are just a little bit more sleazy than regular lawyers. The bully part is enough to need protection. He tried to kill my brother, just after he got here.
