This place has certainly changed. I cannot say I have missed it.

The portal led to the station. His phone connected to the station network, mine was still connected to that of the island. If the portal would have stayed open, we could have combined the knowledge from both sides to figure out what is happening.

And of course I was the one staying here. My child is here. Two of my grandchildren are here. Their mother and grandmother is here. My niece is here. Of course he was the one who would step through.
