I haven't been this bored since I went to uni. So what do you lot do around here? I mean, there can't be much use here for a journalist.

Also, what's the deal with the weird door?

Does there have to be a use? Write because you have to write. Although I think there might be enough of us now to start a little print run of something or other if you wanted.

It's nice to feel useful, I suppose. And I'm used to working around the clock. Having time off like this is just a bit... jarring?

Really? Of course I'd be interested.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but you can work for yourself, and then if you ever find yourself home again then you'll maybe have a 500 page novel under your belt. For example.

Really, sure, why not. People still like to read, let's give the people what they didn't know they wanted until now.

I'm not even sure I'll have a home to go back to but the thought's nice. Might be better off here.

I take it this place doesn't really have anything like that in place? I mean I couldn't find anything when I looked around.

Ah, yeah. Few people like that around. Guess it's... a second chance? People can make a decent life here for the most part.

Not at the moment, no. People tend to use the network, but it's not quite the same as a real paper. But then, I'm an old fashioned sort of guy.

There was a printing press on the island, and Maryanne wanted the whole island cleared out when we had a door to it, so it's probably around here somewhere? You could do the journalist thing?

The Island was a lot like this place, but not a space station, and more like earth. A lot of people here were there first, before we got brought here. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it without sounding crazy.

I am unsure how my skill is dated, but if we can locate this printing equipment I may be able to help with publication. I am a printmaker by trade.

I like to go for spacewalks. Can't be bored when you're walking outside of the station.

With all the strange things that happen here, there must be some thing of interest for you to write about.

Spacewalks? That sounds... actually quite terrifying to me.

There's plenty, honestly. I've been making my notes. I'd just like to at least do something useful around here, and I'm not sure how useful old Atlantean memories will be when I am just starting to get all of those back.

It's amazing. You could always work up to it. Start by taking a ride in a spaceship.

I think writing's useful. A lot can happen here. It would be good to have a record of it and keep everyone informed.

I work on station maintenance, repairs and upkeep if you ever want to be useful with that.

What's Atlantean?

That is something I never thought I'd be able to do.

That's true although I think the network acts a pretty decent record of events. Although it could be better.

I doubt I'd be any use. All of this stuff is very new to me.

Atlantis. The city? I'm from there technically. Well, in a past life. I was reborn and when I died I came back to life with these memories. They keep coming back, more and more at random. So all the lost knowledge of Atlantis is locked away inside my head somewhere.

You might enjoy it.

It is mostly good. Any voice messages on the network are converted to text on my phone because I'm Deaf.  It sometimes doesn't convey the meaning of what is being said.

I could always teach you.  And there are other places that could use an extra hand too.   Farming, cooking, medical, etc.   Just about any job you can think of can be done here.

Atlantis as in the lost city?    Was it on Earth?   Are you from Earth?
