A mortal is drained of nearly all their blood and fed the Vampires blood. Should they survive the ordeal, they are turned.

Okay, that is oddly creepily close to my reality. The dying part is kind of essential though, then burial in a fresh grave the maker has to lay with the turned for three days, then the turned drains the maker, they crawl out and... sometimes sex is involved.

I didn't fuck my maker though, which is probably why we did not have the connection he wanted.

I don't make vampires unless there is no other way. And I prefer not to sleep with them, because I prefer they have their own mind. It prevents the hive mind of a nest from happening, and the need to do as 'master' commands.

There are a lot of greedy assholes out there, it's what got Chicago wiped off the map in my world. And people just tend to hate us because Dracula was so popular.

If I had it in me, I could be a threat. I ever tell you I lived hours after I was struck in the heart, and left lung by four arrows? And I brought down enough of an army that they retreated. And that was while I was still human.

I am working on my fourth ale, and am gloriously numb. It feels odd after not having fed for two months.
