Well the two had switched bodies, and she apparently knows how to do the space thing, and was out there when they switched back. So. Now Dan is out in space.

Ah. And Dan doesn't know how to do the space thing.

Since Maria does know what she's doing, she will have taken all necessary safety precautions. So I would assume that the main issue here is retrieval. Maria will know where he is, and there are plenty of us who can help to get Dan back inside.

Stay calm, Jack. We'll have him inside again in no time.
