I wanted to thank the two of you for what you've done for me. You made it so I didn't have to completely isolate myself from everyone and I really appreciate it.

How are you doing? Are your eyes okay? Thanks again for getting me out of there. I don't know what would have happened if I had gone in alone.

I just wanted to say thanks for helping me out. Sorry I chickened out on the support group. Maybe this week? Mom's being super encouraging without trying to force me to go. I also wanted to thank you again for getting me out of the hotel. I think I'll be avoiding any hotels in the future.

Yep. I spent years telling myself I was going to stop drinking, and I'd manage a couple of weeks or maybe a month, and then something would happen and all the promises I'd made myself meant nothing because I'd wake up three days later with an empty wallet and a killer hangover. Admitting to someone else out loud that I needed help was the hardest thing I ever did.

This is the bit where all the cliches go, about being sick and tired of being sick and tired and all that.
