Have you seen these cars? These cars are amazing!

What's amazing is they keep them running decades later when they should be falling apart. The old designs are pretty cool looking though.

Seriously? That's pretty shocking impressive.

I kind of want to bring one back, but I don't think there's much use for a twencen car with a combustion engine and limited fuel on a space station.

Plus I'm not sure Ernest would like a car driving through his house.

Why would I drive it? Just take it apart and rebuild it on the other side.

For some reason that option didn't occur to me.

Most of them have excellent back seats. And nice trunk space. I had a Studebaker that lasted me more than 40 years.

I will keep that in mind.

Do all these cars last for decades?

You don't know why w good backseat and trunk are important, do you?

Unfortunately, no and it got increasingly difficult to find working parts to replace the worn out ones.

I know why they'd be important to me, but I get the feeling you're going to have slightly different reasons than I do.

Well, the trunk yes. It's big and they're usually light tight. The backseat might be the same.

pst pst. You should look under the hood.

That sounds kinda dirty if I think about it.

They're all combustion engines, it's so cool. And weird.

Yep! And could be dangerous! Because some picked bad places for their gas tanks.

Maglev's so much easier, you know. Even when we have to revert to using wheels, the maglev still provides propulsion instead of having to sit right beside thousands of tiny hopefully-controlled explosions.

I'd love to visit your time. Maglev is only usable in trains in this time. And not available at all in 1949.

I'd need to practice first. I've only ever driven maglev.

It definitely takes practice. No power steering, manual transmissions with clutches, no electronics. Once you learn how though you can tackle anything.

Okay, I definitely need practice since none of those things exist in maglevs.

One of the best things about these old cars is how easy they are to steal.
