Read! A book can take you someplace else. I don't know if we'll get doors anymore so books are very important. And there's lots of them around.

Put on a play! A small one.

Practice your magic if you have any.

Dance. Play games. Do gymnastics.

Spend time with your family. And your pets.

Help other people.

They do. People always need something. Cooks, babysitters, orderlies at the hospital, teachers, someone to make clothes, all kinds of stuff.

It's like using magic and technology together. Mine's a little different from my family 'cause I have some magic from my bio dad too. I can take colour out of my phone and other tech and change the way I look. The first time I did it, I was watching a movie about Anne of Green Gables and I made my hair red like hers. I think with practice, I might be able to get other things beside colour.

That's good.

The only way that I know how to help you with that, my love, is to be able to measure all the dangerous, and to dominate it. But that is me, I am... what I am.

But if you want something gentle and cozy to do, you could help me teach little Gen, and Nick.

Maybe I should try it. But I am just human, I will lose more fights than you do. What I can do is to run away. But maybe I can get better.

It's very hard for me not to cry around Nick. I miss my Nick very much. But it makes me happy that they will have each other.

There are quite a few humans here, I have had it programmed to accept that into the room. And... There was a fight that you did not lose, and I did.

They are good with sorrow. I do not know how, but when I was sad over Connor, and then the times James has not been here, they have known without me telling, and comforted me. But if you would rather not, it is okay.

That is understandable. It has been a long time since my mother was killed, and the pain is still there. I do not begrudge you your pain. I am just sorry that I could not keep you from it.

You are old enough for me not to lie to you... It will always feel that way after, even if there was nothing more that could have been done.

I don't know. Perhaps they will continue to trickle in. Perhaps their lives changed for the better. It is hard to say.
