I want to do something to honour Daniel and Max. I miss them both very much already.

One of my favourite dates with Daniel was when we went through a door and helped feed residents of a homeless shelter. Is there a door still open? Does anyone know if there would there be a shelter or a soup kitchen, or something similar where I could volunteer?

For Max, I was thinking of adding a special dish to the menu at the Ruby, and the lunch menu at the diner too if no one objects. Maybe one of her cupcake recipes.

For now, I won't be in the Ruby as often as I normally am, and there may be a buffet instead of service.

Private to Anders and Dmitri.

Do you want to have a cupcake and wine night to remember Max?

Yes, sounds good. I cannot believe first Isabel and now her. I must insist you go not the same way!

There is a door open to America, somewhere. 1919.

You either! I hope all of us can stay here.

I'll have to find a suitable outfit.

I hope so. I am far too spoiled here, I will hate to be back if I remember here.

Even 1919 is modern sounding for me!

I didn't remember this place when I went back.

Maybe you should visit through the door too.

That is probably a good thing.

Yes, that is a good idea. Volunteering is a good use of these doors also, perhaps even the purpose. To offer something to others there.

Do you know how America is feeling about Russians in 1919? My future-history is no good and I know not what side who was on in this world war they speak of.

I'm more going with getting completely shitfaced until I can't remember fuck all. And repeat.

Pretty much business as usual.

There is a door to Brooklyn in 1919. Considering the date, might I be so bold as to suggest a Red Cross Canteen? There are many soldiers who have returned to nothing. A little compassion goes a long way.

That is an excellent idea. Would the canteen be easy to find?

It should be well advertized, but almost certainly listed in the local newspaper.

There's an orphanage that you could help out at as well. It's attached to a Catholic Church but the nuns are great and take whatever help they can get.

Another wonderful idea. Do you have an address?

I don't have an address but I can take you there. I actually grew up there after my parents died.

I'd like that. Would you want to stay and volunteer with me?

I'm sorry about your parents.

I think the nuns would be very disappointed if I didn't.

Through the door, they're still alive. I don't remember much about them because I was so young when they died, but I get a chance to see them again.

I haven't actually seen them, yet.
