I was wrong. I have not been a good man, as they say. I do not know what it is to be that, only that I am sorry I am not. I am sorry I allowed myself to be less than what I am absolutely certain you a due. I am not even worth the consideration of friendship. I made errors in my calculations at every turn. I see now I did not consider the one person it would hurt most, only the greater vision it would not.

I am glad you are here where you are free and they will see you the way I have.

You could have made this better, you could have helped once you came to this realization, but you did not. You left us there. You let them take my powers and tie me to myself so tightly I could not stand on my own. You let them take away every right we had. You could have stopped them, you could have taken us from that place but your complacency let them do what they pleased.

The greater vision can forgive you. I will not.

That is not true, either. I understand now what happened and what I did wrong, why we fought. I did not then because I thought I was keeping you safe. Safe from the people outside that would harm you. Not from yourself or your gift. Mister Stark told me to keep you inside due to legalities beyond our control. I should have explained. You are wise and understand more than credit has been given. If I had elaborated on the reason then I do not believe this is the conversation we would be having. I do not understand the point of view of others sometimes. I want to. I do not know how to. I hope I will start here, with this.

Yes. You were wrong. You lied to me and attempted to bribe me with foods and feelings of home, with the belief that you truly cared for me and not just following your orders and trying to keep me unknowing. Neither of you believed that, if given the option, I would make the right choice because you believed yours was the only right one. You say you do not understand but you knew I missed my home, you knew I missed having a family, and you knew I was hurt to see what others saw of me and you used that against me. You can say what you will but I will not trust it is truth, not anymore. And you did that to yourself.

I do not believe we are seeing what happened from the same angle. I never lied to you. I did not bribe you with these things. Or, that was not my intent. We did not oft have the chance to talk, the two of us. I had thought you might enjoy it. The situation was circumstantial at best. I'm sorry.

At least you are safe, now. You have a new life you can lead with Pietro and your friends. I will do my best not to disturb you.
