Hello- is this

Is anyone from the Train out there? We got chucked off- was it a lock out? We don't have a totem, or our devices, or- anything, really.

And if this is absolute nonsense to everyone, then that wouldn't be entirely unexpected. It's a long story.

All right? Because lots of us being here makes it more normal? After Thomas? Or were you assuming that was part of your mental breakdown as well?

It's just a theory, so I wouldn't listen to me too much.

I wouldn't say it makes it more normal, but at least it's apparently something that happens, rather than just two of us, lost forever. I don't think any of it was a mental breakdown- oh God, that means I've really gone now, doesn't it?! I was more worried that I'd just talked quite casually about the train on a public forum, and no one actually knew what I was talking about- and it really does sound much more ridiculous when you're off the train, you know?

I'm pretty used to things being 'just theories', now. Why? What's wrong with listening to you?

Yeah, I'm almost getting used to it now, I'm starting to wonder where I'll wake up next week. It's amazing what you'll accept as normal, isn't it? When you have real choice. Oh yeah, I suppose when you've not been on a time travelling train it does sound a bit odd now you mention it. I bumped into Cutler the moment I arrived so I've not had to worry too much about that bit.

Yeah the train wasn't big on giving anything away was it? I just don't want to worry you with my theories, I have lots, and some of them are quite contradictory, but Mitchell wants to know what's going on, so I try and offer him alternatives. 'I have no fucking clue and neither does anyone else' doesn't seem to work for him.

It is, people are incredibly adaptable, even to the strangest of situations. It's both amazing and devastating, depending on the circumstances. I think I fluctuate between the two. Yeah- see how quickly we forget that it's meant to be odd? God, and I was one of the firm sceptics when I first arrived!

Certainly not, and I'm not sure that's about to change any time soon. Oh, I'm not easily worried by theories- I'm engaged to Sherlock Holmes, I learned to stop worrying. Well- to an extent. Mitchell is here? Annie's Mitchell? Is Annie here?

It's better than not being able to deal with at all though, isn't it? I'm still aware it was odd, I think I just forget not everyone was there. I think it all depends on where you were before as well, doesn't it? I mean what's a bit of extra weirdness when it comes down to it?

Well that's good, cos I'm doubting any of them are exactly comforting. And congratulations. Yeah Annie's Mitchell, or y'know Mitchell's Mitchell. Annie's not here yet but Mitchell seems pretty sure she'll be turn up at some point.

I suppose so. I was more being really morbid and referring to people's ability to adapt to warzones and concentration camps and so on. I'm a fucking bundle of laughs today, apparently. My life was extremely structured and logical before all this. Well, no- actually, things are better now. I mean, things were better on the train, I'm yet to decide about this place, but- I think it will be fine.

Ah, comfort's overrated, or something. That's good. I mean, maybe not for him, but a familiar face is good.

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine? I still think it's better than losing it though, even in those circumstances, I mean you shouldn't have to but...well the human race are a bunch of cunts generally speaking. Oh dear, I can't imagine how horrible all of this must have felt then, I'm yet to find any kind of logic. I quite liked the train, in a weird extremely messed up way, got me away from home at least and I reckon as long as Lex is here I'm okay, which I'm assuming would be the same for you and Sherlock.

Yeah he's really not in the best of moods, so be ready for that.

I'm not usually so doom and gloom, apparently purgatory's taking it's toll, already! Yes, it is better than losing it.

It wasn't good at first, but I was on the train for seven months, so I had plenty of time to get used to it. And yes, once Sherlock showed up, and I calmed down and stopped thinking he was some sort of grief-fuelled hallucination, things were actually pretty good!

Oh, I'm pretty much always ready for that.

It's okay, I can handle a bit of pessimism.

Shit, I was only there a couple I think, which is hardly any time at all really. Maybe things'll get better here, I dunno I just felt happier on the train, it was sort of easier.

You'll be fine then.

I think those other people not from Thomas break that theory a bit. Unless they're here for our entertainment? In which case, I want a word with the person in charge.

Still. It's probably better than my Neverland theory in which they got the Lost Boys confused with the eighties classic of the same name, explaining the sizable vampire population.

Maybe it's loads of places purgatory? Maybe it's just good old fashioned purgatory, isn't that where the heretics go? Cos I'll be honest I could totally see that being somewhere I'm destined to end up. Yeah entertainment isn't quite the word I'd use.

I never quite got your Neverland thing, run it by me again? I mean I'm yet to see any pirates, or Indians, or annoying children. I like the Lost Boys idea though, good film.

This isn't doing wonders for my "maybe we're all dead!" theory. I had just gotten over that one, too.

Well nothing seems to be different, so even if we are all dead I can't say I'm too worried.

Actually I could see how that might be really handy.

Maybe. Then we could all just get on with being dead.

Maybe. That would also explain the sizable vampire population. Perhaps it's a matter of levels and we've moved down one since Thomas?

I couldn't think of the names of any more suitable islands. "The island Lord of the Flies was set on" didn't quite have the same ring to it.

One down? Bugger, I mean I can't say I wasn't half expecting it. It's probably more fun than heaven anyway, innit?

You're losing your touch, Cutler.

Considering some of our company, definitely down. Definitely.

I'm going to blame going down a level.

Of course, it's the only explanation. I'm a little sad there's no hand basket so far, I always wondered how that part worked.

I'm imagining a giant one - like a mine cart without the tracks. It probably gets set on fire at some point, plunging everyone into a fiery abyss.

I assumed I was going to get my own, since I'm going to one of the special hells. And I'm special, in the good one before you suggest anything.

I couldn't possibly comment. And of course you wouldn't, I have no idea why I'd think you would.
