Just for the record, it wasn't me who let whatever is missing out of the zoo.

This time.

Probably very true. Last time I was in that timeline I was eighteen. I was here for a bit then had a six year detour through 1940s Earth.

So how old are you now?

How did that happen?

16. But don't worry, you're still old.

Damn if I know. The island stuck me there and it dragged me back six years later. I had a nice tour of the Pacific during wartime with the 1st Marine Division.

I thought so. But that was then and this is now.

One of these days Mom is going to freak at having so many of us here before we're even born. So you were really into plants and animals when I left, but you were five. What's your story nowdays?

Nowadays life sciences is my thing. Zoology, entomology, botany... xenology, you name it. I help Dad out with the zoo when I'm not off collecting, sampling and observing. New stuff pops up every now and then, gotta ID it to see if its dangerous or helpful etc.

Thirty years in the past, I bet there's a great deal different. Should be interesting.
