	I have tried, to the extent I was able to. You must know that if there had been a way home, I would have taken it! It is very powerful magic. There are other wizards here, of various kinds, but they are different from us. Many are from a strange and distant future. Sirius is here with me. We have been here some time. [speaking more quickly now] But Papa, you needn't spare me. I know things. I know about '53, about the fever and what happens to poor Cygnus if I cannot stop it when I go home. And Sirius. He's alive here. He's seven and as he's concerned it is 1852 and...please don't tell him any different, about the future, just let him be happy to see his grandfather. He is too young to burden with our troubles. I have kept him safe from that.
