[There is a brief pause as the baby cries louder. His tone shifts from irate to soft and caring]

Oh no, shhhh shhh, it's okay, it's okay. You're safe now, yeah? Bloody hell you've grown so much... We just need to find your Mum, yeah? She always turns up. Me and her are bonded yeah? We're never going to let you out of our sight, I promise you...

[The babies crying dies down. Realising he is still broadcasting, his tone shifts back to grouchy]

I haven't had time to piss about looking through the network yet so just cut to the chase and make it simple. And Dite, love? If you can hear this, someone wants to see you again. I really hope you get this...

[The broadcast cuts off]

I think we've done pretty well out here.

I know I don't know you from Adam, but I do know a few things. Unless you've stopped one of those, for the wee one... There is a gentleman's club, not the stripping sort but the smoking cigars and playing cards sort, on Wheel two at [Location]. It's well stocked with things that you might like, if you're anything like the brown eyed John. All you have to do is press on the walls, I know it sounds a little crazy but I do not lie. The booze and humidors are hidden behind panels.

We had a fellow show up that had ill intentions for us... and the Heart. He corrupted the heart, and John's leylines.

Well... yes and no, they're not over priced, because they're free. The ones in the Gentleman's club will probably be more to your tastes. They're mostly aged, so even the Gin has a bit of a yellow hue.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I did sort of denounce blood. Someone, who is very dear to me, cast a very powerful, and probably dangerous, spell that removed my need for blood, and my supposed immortality.

It's only just now being attempted. The corruption made the heart hard to locate.

It's all free, there is only a small selection at the bigger club that I ask an IOU for, because it's all very old, and very rare.

Immortality was harder than mortality. Watching all the people you care about die around you? It was hard not to disconnect from humanity completely. Sure there are pains, and the chance of illnesses, but... I can go out into the sun and all the Have tos and that's completely worth it.
