It had seemed like such a good idea, when he'd hatched it earlier in the week, despite Astoria telling him it was crazy, but now that he was standing in the line at the front The Snake Pit, with the red-head of Ginny Weasley standing in front of him, he wasn't so sure. He supposed it wasn't too late just yet. He could suggest somewhere else for the promised drinks, but then she might think he was weak, because he'd confided in her what he hoped to accomplish by bringing her here tonight. She'd been nice enough to go along with it, though he suspected that had more to do with a dislike of Gwen than any feelings of friendship towards him.

They'd spent the afternoon playing at the Harpies practice pitch, and had eventually called it a tie, but seeing as Ginny had been the victor at their first meeting, Adrian had offered to buy the drinks tonight. After all, he wasn't too sure what Gwen's reaction would be, and while he was fairly sure Ginny could hold her own if it came down to a fight, if she did get hurt because of this ruse, at least she wasn't paying for it.

They stepped forward as another group were let in behind the barricade.

"It's not too late to change your mind," he said to her. Maybe she'd call the whole thing off. He wouldn't blame her. The Snake Pit was a well known ex-Slytherin hang out. She was inviting a whole world of trouble by going in there on his arm, and not just with Gwen. "Just say the world, and you're enjoying the drink of your choice at The Leaky."

	She'd done well to get across the room without drawing his attention, because he was actually surprised when he heard her voice right beside him. He started and looked up from Ginny's face to her. "Gwen! Hi," he said, letting his hold on Ginny ease a little. "I'm on a date. Do you know Ginny? Ginny, this is Gwendolyn Montgomery. Gwen, Ginny Weasley." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Gwendolyn eyes swept Weasley as they usually did, critically examining every inch of her. She was glad she was wearing towering heels so that for once she was taller than the other girl, barely, but that was really all that mattered.

"I know who she is Adrian. Why are you on a date with her?" She asked, completely ignoring the introduction and not saying anything to the girl. As far as Gwen was concerned, she was insignificant, and she was annoyed with him. Her fingers itched to point her wand at the girl, and she really wished she'd actually picked it up on her way over. She took his hand and tugged him away from Ginny. "Why would you see her?"

He should really take up acting, he decided as he school his features to act mildly annoyed with her for crashing his date, when inside he was celebrating that she was this upset. Maybe, just maybe, she'd realise now that she didn't want him to see other people.

"I like her. She's fun, and she's hot. Why wouldn't I see her?" he said. "She's not your friend, so I don't get what the problem is, Gwen."

"Because!" Gwendolyn hissed, her voice now going up to that octave. She recrossed her arms, did her very best not to stomp her feet in protest and glare at him again.

"You're not meant to see her." She argued again, as if her argument made all the sense in the world. She was fun, she was hot and gorgeous. "She's... she's..." She glared at him again. "She's not me." She spat out. Why the hell was he even considering anyone else?!

	It took everything in him not to just sit back and smirk now that she'd actually admitted that out loud. Instead, he leaned over her, brows furrowed in anger. "No, she's not. This time she did stamp her foot in frustration. She wanted to slap him, and kiss him, and kick him in the shin. Why did he have to be so damn frustrating?

"Fine!" She said, glaring back up at him, she turned to go. Gwen managed one step, then in one movement turned around threw her arms around his neck and kissed him hard. "You win." She said before she hugged him tighter, going up on her toes so she could kiss him harder. She pulled back then and looked him straight in the eyes.

"If you ever touch Weasley like that again, I will hex your bollocks off."

For a horrible moment, Adrian thought that Astoria had been right. He'd just blown it monumentally and she was never going to speak to him again. Thankfully, it was only a second cause then she was wrapped around him and his arms moved to hold her tight, automatically kissing her back. He won? Thank fuck for that, he thought. All this pretending to date other girls was just tiring. Of course, a moment later, she spoke again. Well, that wasn't what he wanted to hear at all.

"Just Weasley?" he asked, one eyebrow raised. "Or all Gryffindors? Can I date a Ravenclaw, then? That Mandy Brocklehurst is sort of cute."

Ready to smile at him, Gwen paused as he spoke. She blinked at the question. Had she really just heard him ask that? Not hesitating, Gwen slapped him. "Brocklehurst?!"

This time, Gwendolyn did kick Adrian in the shin. "All women. Everywhere. Ever." She clarified, glaring at him, before kicking him once more in the shin for good measure. She stopped and shot him another glare. "And men."

	The slap caught him by surprise, but it was worth the pain to hear her say that and rather than be upset, he laughed, then caught her around the waist and pulled her back to him. "Okay, okay. Just you, then," he said. "I'm all yours, okay?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Okay." Gwendolyn said with a satisfied nod. Then taking his hand she turned and tugged on it, before pulling him back across the dance floor to the table. Ginny was happily ignored as Gwen pulled Adrian toward the table. She smiled at the girls, not letting go of Adrian's hand.

"I'm sorry, darlings, but I am going to have to cut out a bit early. Something's come up, but I promise to make it up to all of you next weekend." Gwen said with a smile as she said goodbye to her friends with an air kiss apiece. When she reached Pansy she took her wand back from her friend and gave her a quick hug. She turned to Adrian, once she'd said goodbye to everyone. "You. Home."

Ade happily let himself be led, though he did glance over his shoulder at Ginny and gave her a shrug. He didn't really think she'd mind all that much cutting the evening short.

"Ladies," he greeted the girls at the table. While Gwen retrieved her wand from Pansy, he gave Astoria a conspiratorial wink, but otherwise didn't really say anything at all.

"Anything you say, babe," he said, pulling her to him. Normally, he'd wait until he was outside to Apparate, but he broke protocol and just spun on the spot, taking them to his living room. Despite her declaration, he didn't tell her he loved her. He wouldn't be doing that again until she said it, but he did kiss her, softly, tenderly so that she would know it was true, even without those words being uttered. "What now, Goddess?"

	Gwen was still rather annoyed at him actually, but he took her into his arms and she relaxed a bit. In moments, she was back in his place. She smiled as he spoke and leaned in to kiss him. "Now, you take me up to your room and have your way with me." She said, smiling as she hooked her arms around her neck and kissed him once more. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Now, that was something he could do, and do well, if their history was any indication.

"Anything you say, babe," he repeated, then bent his knees and picked her up, one arm at her back, the other under her legs. He kissed her as he walked up the stairs and to his room, then lowered her onto the bed.

Like the last time they'd been together, it was less about furious passion and more about showing her without words how he felt. He took his time undressing her, worshipping every inch of skin as it was uncovered. Before he undressed himself, he tasted her, losing himself between her thighs and relishing each of the noises she made as his mouth moved over her.

When he finally sank into her, it took every ounce of his self-control to move slowly, making love to her rather than just another shag. It wasn't easy, but it helped to remind himself it wasn't about him, nothing really was anymore. Everything was about her, his perfect, if slightly flawed Goddess.

A bit surprised to find him sweeping her up into his arm, Gwen giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck. Yes, she was sill a bit annoyed at him, but really, what could she do? Especially when he was sweeping her up like that?

He carried her up to his bedroom, and Gwendolyn felt a small knot form in her stomach. She couldn't really put her finger on what it was, but it was a nice feeling. In moments she was on her back in his bed once more, and he was moving over her again. It was slow, deliberate, and in no time, Gwen was squirming beneath his touch.

Finally, he was inside her and Gwendolyn was moaning again. She moved with him, legs wrapping around his body as he made her shudder. She was soon calling his name as she came, his name dripping for her lips. He was perfect, her, and for once she was okay with being his.

He took his time, making sure she was well and truly satisfied, her body having arched and trembled under him several times before he let himself finish.

Afterwards, he lay on his back, one arm around Gwen's shoulders as she lay curled against his side, her head on his shoulder. With any other girl, this would be the perfect time to say those words, but he wanted her here all night, so he bit his tongue and just watched her, a lazy smile on his lips. It was an odd feeling, being really happy. Maybe he should tell her that; how happy she made him. Surely, telling her that wouldn't scare her off. No, better not. He didn't want to risk her leaving. Not right now.

Satisfied beyond belief, Gwen settled after a few moments, her breathing starting to return to normal. Settling against Adrian, she rested her head against his chest, his arm comfortably around her. This felt good, happy.

After a few moments, she turned so she could look at him, her fingers resting on his chest beneath her chin. She smiled at him. "So, Mr. Pucey. What are you going to do with me, now that you've got me?" She asked, eyes shinning.

	He grinned, using his other hand to brush the hair back from her face. He really had her, at least as much as she could be got, for now. "Now that is a very sensible plan." Gwen said with a giggle as she smiled at him. Her fingers idly traced figures on his chest. She shook her head at his questions. "No objections on my side, though the shinier the gifts are, the longer you might get to keep me." She added with a grin. Closing in the distance she kissed him briefly. "Assuming, of course, we scrub you completely clean of Weasley residue." Gwen added, wrinkling her nose a little.

	Adrian chuckled. He already had an idea that Gwen was fond of shiny things, after all, even before she'd been sure she liked him, she'd accepted quite a few shiny baubles from him.
