It had seemed like such a good idea, when he'd hatched it earlier in the week, despite Astoria telling him it was crazy, but now that he was standing in the line at the front The Snake Pit, with the red-head of Ginny Weasley standing in front of him, he wasn't so sure. He supposed it wasn't too late just yet. He could suggest somewhere else for the promised drinks, but then she might think he was weak, because he'd confided in her what he hoped to accomplish by bringing her here tonight. She'd been nice enough to go along with it, though he suspected that had more to do with a dislike of Gwen than any feelings of friendship towards him.

They'd spent the afternoon playing at the Harpies practice pitch, and had eventually called it a tie, but seeing as Ginny had been the victor at their first meeting, Adrian had offered to buy the drinks tonight. After all, he wasn't too sure what Gwen's reaction would be, and while he was fairly sure Ginny could hold her own if it came down to a fight, if she did get hurt because of this ruse, at least she wasn't paying for it.

They stepped forward as another group were let in behind the barricade.

"It's not too late to change your mind," he said to her. Maybe she'd call the whole thing off. He wouldn't blame her. The Snake Pit was a well known ex-Slytherin hang out. She was inviting a whole world of trouble by going in there on his arm, and not just with Gwen. "Just say the world, and you're enjoying the drink of your choice at The Leaky."

"Do you want to do this or not?" She asked him with a raised eyebrow wondering just what she was trying to prove? Of the people involved none of them were particularly friendly or warm towards her and walking into a room with people that would hate her just based on her name wasn't really ideal. Yet, she was there helping. Maybe she really was more of a softie than she was willing to admit.

"Believe me there are places that are better for me to be though I have to warn you none of them have seen hexes quite like mine." At Hogwarts her dueling skills had been pretty well known. Ginny really didn't want to resort to that in public.

Ginny's reply was filled with exactly the right amount of attitude to give him the push that he needed. Squaring his shoulders he gave her a decisive nod of his head. If it didn't work, he'd just have figure something else out. He was a smart guy, he could come up with something.

"I do. Right. Anything off limits? There's going to be a lot of people in there and you are going to draw a lot of attention," he said, wanting to make sure he didn't over-step any boundaries.

Ginny shook her head as she wasn't really one for limits. "Long as I don't have to beat you off with a broom for getting too frisky." A little bit of PDA was all she was sure they would need if she knew Gwen Montgomery at all, well that type of girl.

"Why don't you worry about yourself instead of me. I can handle me and really at the end of the night I don't have to be around these people every again, you on the other hand live with them every day."

Ginny did have a point, but he couldn't help grinning. It was so like her, like a Gryffindor, to be so brave and confident. Well, that was part of the reason he hadn't thought twice about asking her to do this.

"Alright, then," he replied. Once they got to the front on the line, Ade paid their cover charge and they entered the club. He glanced around, wanting to know where Gwen was before she saw him, so he could avoid looking at her once she realised he was here. He found her easily, then slung his arm around Ginny's shoulder, bending in towards her with deliberate intimacy. "Right, she's over on the right, so avoid looking that way if you can. How about a drink?"

Ginny glanced around at the club as it was probably the first and the last time she was going to see the likes of it. Not that she was overly concerned about it. There were better places to go that she knew the barkeeps and the people much better; people that didn't want to see her pretty head on a stick.

"Oh grow a pair will you," Ginny said with a shake of her head and purposely looked in the direction she wasn't supposed to in a casually innocent manner. "Girls think you are talking about them when you even glance in their direction," if he wanted to get under her skin he was going to have to try a little harder. "As for the drink I would love one."

It wasn't that he was afraid of Gwen, he just wanted to make it look like he only had eyes for Ginny, which would be hard to do if he kept looking over to see if the object of his real affection was looking at him or not, but he supposed it was okay if Ginny did look. If they were really into each other, he doubted Ginny would care much if his ex was here.

"Well, come on, then," he said, with a grin and shake of his head at her words. As he led her towards the bar, he let his arm slide down her back to curl around her waist. "Well, what'll you have, Red?"

Ginny leaned into him and gave a very convincing smile as she turned her attention back to her "date". This wasn't very hard as she didn't think it would be hard to make the girl jealous.

"Firewhiskey." Ginny said plainly not really the type for too many girly fruit drinks. Another side effect perhaps of having so many brothers. "What is your choice of poison Adrian?"

Acting like he was really into Weasley was fairly easy. Despite her name, she was a very attractive girl, and he knew that even if they'd public mock her, behind locker room doors, even the Slytherin boys talked about how hot she was. What was much harder than he'd anticipated was glancing around to make sure Gwen was seeing all this. Ade tugged Ginny a bit closer as they moved into the bar, his fingers splayed in the small of her back, then daringly let his hand slide down so that the tips rest against the top of her arse.

"Two Firewhiskeys, please," he said to the bartender, though he was looking at Ginny.

Ginny gave him a sweet but coy smile as she turned her body a bit so it was angled into his. For all purposes she really did look like she was enjoying herself. She wasn't even sure why she was helping but she was.

And for a little added intensity she leaned in closer so she could whisper softly in his ear what appeared to be an intimate conversation or proposal. "You know you owe me like your soul for this..." And in many ways he did. "So you better love this girl."
