It had seemed like such a good idea, when he'd hatched it earlier in the week, despite Astoria telling him it was crazy, but now that he was standing in the line at the front The Snake Pit, with the red-head of Ginny Weasley standing in front of him, he wasn't so sure. He supposed it wasn't too late just yet. He could suggest somewhere else for the promised drinks, but then she might think he was weak, because he'd confided in her what he hoped to accomplish by bringing her here tonight. She'd been nice enough to go along with it, though he suspected that had more to do with a dislike of Gwen than any feelings of friendship towards him.

They'd spent the afternoon playing at the Harpies practice pitch, and had eventually called it a tie, but seeing as Ginny had been the victor at their first meeting, Adrian had offered to buy the drinks tonight. After all, he wasn't too sure what Gwen's reaction would be, and while he was fairly sure Ginny could hold her own if it came down to a fight, if she did get hurt because of this ruse, at least she wasn't paying for it.

They stepped forward as another group were let in behind the barricade.

"It's not too late to change your mind," he said to her. Maybe she'd call the whole thing off. He wouldn't blame her. The Snake Pit was a well known ex-Slytherin hang out. She was inviting a whole world of trouble by going in there on his arm, and not just with Gwen. "Just say the world, and you're enjoying the drink of your choice at The Leaky."

"Then the next round is on me," Daphne said with ease as she reached for the fruity drink that was before her. Sure she wasn't much of a drinker but a few drinks with the girls was what she needed and she was pretty sure they did too.

"Well how about we have another get together soon?" She suggested calmly as she tested the waters for what she had to say. "Like somewhere warm and tropical for a weekend?" Why just decorate in a beach theme when they could go to the beach? She had said she was going to round up a group of ladies for the trip.

Gwendolyn smiled, pleased that everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Granted, she was still very annoyed with Astoria, and had to remind herself not to put anything into the girl's drink, but she had promised herself to be pleasant, be the better girl. So far her resolve he been holding, which was a very good thing.

"The barman's great." Gwen said with a giggle as she took another sip from her glass. He hadn't all seemed fazed by the various drinks she'd requested. As Daphne started going on about beaches, Gwendolyn pouted. "If only! That would be so amazing!" She said, wishing they could just do something like that. She took another sip from her glass. "Honestly, what better way to get in the mood for flat decoration than to see a real one."

Astoria smiled at the older group of girls and nodded along in agreement to the suggestion of a Holiday away from all the bitter cold and snowy weather. "I think that would be a splendid idea. Assuming I get to come along, other wise my opinion doesn't count." She toyed with the straw in her drink, in an attempt at making it appear as though she were slowly drinking it. She'd never had a drink before and was hesitant at making a fool of herself in front of an entire club.

Through out the evening she'd done her best to keep away from Gwen, knowing full well how she felt about her at the moment. If only she would be able to tell her just what had happened the evening she'd met up with Adrian. Unfortunately, no good would come from even bringing it up so she kept quiet and glanced around curious as to when Adrian would end up showing up with the Alley Trash on his arm. After that, she was sure that Gwen would forget all about her and zero her hatred in on Weasley.

"Of course you would come along" Pansy said dismissing Astoria's concern. She was quite sure that both Gwen and Astoria had or would work out any lingering issues.

Out of the corner of her eye, Pansy saw a mess of ginger hair. It made Pansy stop mid sip and focus in on the girl. It seemed unbelievable what she was seeing. "That's not Weasley, is it? What the hell is she doing here?" Surely that wasn't her, right?

Gwendolyn nodded as Pansy spoke. Of course Astoria would be coming, even if she was still annoyed with her friend. They were part of a group, end of story.

"Weasley?" Gwen asked in surprise. "Why would a Weasley come in here, and why would anyone let them in?" Gwendolyn asked in surprise as she looked in the direction Pansy had been looking. "And why would - Oh hell no." Gwendolyn stopped mid-sentence then hissed, her voice icy as she spotted Adrian with her. Putting her glass down, Gwen looked again. What in the fuck did he think he was doing?!

Pansy listened to Gwen as she spoke and they both saw Adrian at the same time. "Oh that's...disgusting" Pansy said softly. She put her hand on Gwen's wand when she stood. The other girl left the table. "Gwen" she called but the blonde was too far gone. As far was Pansy was concerned, if he wanted to dabble in Weasley slime, that was his issue. Pansy thought Gwen should cut her losses. It was pretty gross. She was just so ginger.
