Astoria closed her journal and stared at the cover for a minute or two as she mentally argued with herself over if she should go or not. It was hard to resist a plea like that. it was her fault after all. So, Stori decided to go. What harm would it do to see him and make sure that Draco was okay. She did still care for him.

Without looking in the mirror, as she did every time before then, Astoria left her flat and made sure the door was closed and locked behind her. A girl living alone could never be too careful. Sighing as she hesitated just outside her building, Astoria apparated away and soon appeared outside Draco's building.

To keep from running, Astoria knocked at the door before she lost her nerve to run.

	In his inebriated state, the fact that Astoria had just used the word "bloody" was highly amusing and he found himself giggling as he moved towards her. "You said bloody," he laughed, trying to wrap his arms around her waist. "You don't swear, Stori." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Astoria's mouth twitched in a sad smile as she escaped Draco's arms. She wanted an escape if she needed it. "I didn't. Not until I met you. You're a bad influence on me." She said as she hooked an arm around his waist and helped Draco mount the stairs to the main floor of his flat. "I meant it. You look awful and you need a shower." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"I'm a female Draco. I could be strippped naked and covered in the worst substance you can think you and cover with debris, someone is bound to see beauty in the mess that would be me." Astoria sighed as she thought about her appearance. She hair was pulled back into a loose knot, just to keep the weight of those thick curls off her neck. She wore no makeup to hide the red and puffy eyes, nor the redness of her nose, all a sign that she had spent too much time crying. Being the type of girl who didn't wear anything but dresses or skirts, Astoria was as dissheveled as one could be. Her clothes were wrinkled and hung a little loose, since she hadn't had much of an appetite the last few days. She was a mess.

"Draco!" She cried out as Draco stumbled into the stairs, the weight of him pulling her to the stairs as well. Once she righted herself, Astori found herself wincing from a slight pain in her wrist when she tried to pull Draco to his feet. "Draco... I need you to stand up and concentrate. If not, chances are you will end up killing the both of us on these stairs."

"Sorry," he muttered as she helped him up. He didn't say much on the rest of the way up the stairs to his bedroom, which looked a mess. Normally quite meticulous about tidying behind him, the bed was unmade, and his dirty clothes were stewn about the floor.

"Gonna come in with me?" he said, tugging her towards the shower room at the back of wet area of his ensuite.

	Astoria took one look at Draco's room and shook her head. While she let him tug her towards the shower, she was not going to join him. "You nearly killed me on the stairs, I am not having you kill us both in the shower. I was going to pick up your room and get you something that doesn't consist of alcohol." "You're drunk!" She said, her voice a little louder than she intended for it to be. "I am not getting in the shower with you. Continue to act like the prat you are and I will leave."

Draco's little 'sexy' dance out of his pants was comical, yet Stori was able to hold back her laughter as she reached out to catch him before he fell. "I am not joining you. Not tonight. I will stay in here if you need me to make sure you do not fall."

	His shoulders slump a little, and he huffed to himself. Maybe, he'd asked the wrong girl to come take care of him. He knew Gwen wasn't his, not the way he thought Astoria was, but she was awfully accommodating. "Gwen would have a shower with me," he said, sulkily. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"I knew it!" She said, her foot stomping as she kept herself from hitting him... or more her style, kicking him. Though right now, it would serve him right to be kicked somewhere above the shin. "You're welcome to call her, shag her, do whatever you want with her. I don't bloody care anymore."

As she spoke, Astoria backed up a step and then another as she sought to escape the room, his home, and most importantly Draco. "Is this why you wanted me here? To confirm what I already suspected?"

	He frowned. Why had he been so stupid as to say that? It wasn't entirely an admission of his sins, but it was still the dumbest thing he could possibly have said. "If you loved me, you wouldn't say things like that, or do things with that... that... walking disease." Yes, it was true that he didn't confess his sins, but it was enough for her to feel as if he had. He at least made her believe that she was right in suspecting something. "So go ahead and do whatever you want with her. If Adrian trusts her, let him be the fool. I knew I did the right thing."

Where as seconds ago, he would have begged her to stay, hearing Astoria say such awful lies about Gwendolyn, someone he cared for, made Draco angry. Clearly, Astoria had no idea that it wasn't just Gwen he was sleeping with. He turned on her, stalking over to her and grabbing her by the arms, his finger digging into her.

"Just watch your mouth, you malicious cow!" he growled. "She's no more diseased than you are! At least she doesn't slander you behind your back!"

Astoria shook her arms, trying to rid herself of Draco's hands. Apparently he sobered fast since moments ago she had to keep him from falling to the floor. "Let go of me!" She shouted at him and this time she didn't hesitate as she kicked out at his leg. "Do me a favor and forget me, and for the love of Merlin take my name off your account! I don't want anything to do with you."

"OW! Fuck!" he cursed as she kicked him, letting her go to stumble backwards. His legs hit the back of the bed, causing them to slid out from under him and he landed with a thud on the floor. The pain in his shin, and now his backside only amplified his anger. Using one hand to brace himself he pulled himself to his feet again. "Consider it done, Princess. Clearly, you think yourself high above me and my friends."

"You can have your friends, if this is what it means to love someone, I want no part of it." Astoria stalked the short distance between the two of them and reared back with her hand to smack Draco in the face. "That is for calling me a cow. Have a wonderful life you worthless prat."

As the last words escaped her mouth, Astoria turned and fled. The sound of her shoes on the stairs echoing through the flat. As she left, Astoria slammed the door with as much force as she could and apparated away before she started to cry. She knew she'd done the right thing from the very start. She only wished she'd realized it after the first time he disappointed her. It'd have saved her a lot of heartache... not to mention her reputation.

	Later, when he had sobered up, the sound of her footsteps leaving would haunt him, but with his face still stinging, and her vicious words ringing in his ears, he was glad to see the back of her. He lowered himself on the bed, thoroughly sick of everything about today and ready to sleep it off. (Reply to this) (Parent)
