He knew it was urgent, because if it hadn't been, she'd simply have left him a note in the journals. Instead, she'd sent him an owl, so he found the coaching staff and explained that he needed the night off for personal reasons. Naturally, Flint wasn't impressed, giving their already interrupted training schedule, but Adrian had been working really hard since the carnival, so didn't hang around to listen to him, just grabbed his gear and Apparated to Diagon Alley. He grabbed a bottle of vodka from the Leaky, then jogged down the street to Gwen's apartment, and knocked on her door.

She looked like she'd been crying, so he dropped his bag inside the door and wrapped her up in his arms. He couldn't remember seeing her crying, well, not since he'd broken her heart all those years ago, and even then it had only been a moment as he'd walked away from her.

"Hey! What's going on?" he said, hopefully soothingly.

With his arm securely around her shoulders, Gwendolyn happily rested against him, feeling oddly secure. He kissed the top of her head, and she smiled, looking up at him after a moment. Only a few short months ago, she would quite probably have shuddered at the thought of being called his girl, but things had changed a lot since then.

Instead, Gwendolyn smiled. "I love you, Ade." She said, moving up to kiss him briefly. "Thank you for not being mental, and mean and horrible."

Moving in, Gwendolyn went to kiss him again. "Why do you think she's being like that?" Gwen asked, frowning again. Okay, she was trying not to think about it, but it was actually so much harder to do than she thought. "I was sure we haven't been at all obvious, have we? And then that owl to you, I just don't understand." She said, as she reached for the glasses to pour another one, deciding to settle on the counter top this time,her legs swinging over the edge.

Adrian didn't know what was going on in either Malfoy's or Astoria's heads, but it wasn't his business what the problems in their relationship was. Did he feel guilty about shagging the other man? Sometimes. Astoria was a friend, after all. Well, at least he'd thought she was, but after she threatened to kill his owl if he dared to reply to her, he was starting to wonder if she was altogether sane.

"I'm not too sure," he said with a shrug, as he moved to place a hand on each of her thighs. "But personally, I think she a keeper short of a Quidditch team."

Adrian was impressed that she managed to remember some Quiddtich terminology. Clearly, her coming to the games was starting to rub off on her. He leaned forward to kiss her with a small smile.

"That's my theory, anyway," he said, referring to Astoria's clear lack of sanity. "They are, but they also know how to be discrete, something which seems to have escaped Astoria lately. Don't think I haven't noticed how she usually ignores you, just like she does Theo's cousin, Lily when she and Draco were supposedly engaged. And if I have, you can bet someone else has."

"It's a good one." Gwen agreed after the brief kiss. "She started ignoring me well before we shagged that night. I'm sure it was even before Puerto Rico, I just couldn't figure out why." Gwen shook her head. "You know haven't like her, well since forever, but going after you certainly did her no favours, but I've always tried to be super nice. We do have to deal with each other, and mother always said that the best society girl kept her opinions to herself. So, I tried, but well, what can you do when you're ignored." She gasped a little about the mention with Lily.

"I know! I noticed that too, and considering we now know she was sleeping with him the whole time, you'd think she would have at least been civil to her in public. Hello, she was cheating with Lily's fiance."
