Lily wasn't supposed to be out of bed. In fact if that battle axe of a healer's assistant came back she would probably yell but Lily didn't care. She didn't want to be lying in bed any more. She couldn't do it any more. What Lily really wanted was to be out of this room. The kindly old healer had assured her that she would go home today or tomorrow. She sincerely hoped it was today. She didn't like being so confined. Lily was used to her freedom and was finding it difficult to give it up even if it was (as everyone kept telling her) that it was for her own good. She missed Oberon and wished would be allowed to be there with her. He wasn't of course but it didn't make Lily miss him any less.

It wasn't just herself that she was worried about of course. As soon as Lily had heard about Megan and Justin she had snuck out to see them. It was the next morning. They were in the same room together which was good. They needed each other if they were going to recover. Lily's mother had come to visit and found her bed empty. She raised such a fuss that once Lily was found she was sedated to keep her from wandering the halls. (Her mother's words) Now she wasn't allowed out at all.

Lily was curled in a chair watching the morning dawn. She was wrapped in a blanket to guard against the chill of the room. Lily didn't want to admit it but she was lonely and scared. Death Eaters had attacked and used inferi to do it. Why attack the Carnival? What were they hoping to gain? Can't this whole stupid thing be over? Too many questions without any answers. Once again Lily stared out the window seeing nothing.

"I can't really blame her for wanting to keep you in bed." Marcus said with a smirk as he reached out so that he cold run his fingers across her chin. "No, I'm not surprised she's not as good as I am,, few people are." Marcus said with a smirk, and sat down next to her when she scooted over, his arm sliding about her waist. "No, you shouldn't, though I am pleased that you're feeling better. You look well enough."

"It's true" Lily said of him being good. He certainly was good for her. She leaned against him when he shared her chair. He felt strong and reassuring. Perfect for finally letting her guard down. Lily didn't want him to go. It was an irrational thought as he had just gotten there. "I had lost sight of you for a while. Then..." Her voice cracked for a moment. "All hell broke loose."

	When Lily leaned against him, Marcus slid his arm around her shoulders and moved in to kiss the top of her head briefly. He would have liked to do more, but thought better of it for the time being. "It did." He said with a sigh and a shake of his head. "Don't know what they were thinking, but I couldn't find you either, managed to get off lightly though." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Once Marcus wrapped his arm around her shoulder, Lily leaned back and settled against his chest. She couldn't help but smile when he kissed the top of her head. She liked that feeling. 	Lily leaned against him, and Marcus smiled a little down at her. He supposed it would be a bit much to ask for a quickie, but he could be considerate for a bit, at least. "Made it through the crowd and out into the open field so I could disapparate home." Marcus said as he looked down at her. It hadn't been easy finding out what had happened to Lily. It surprised her a bit how it hit her that he left without knowing what happened to her. Lily also knew that she wasn't his responsibility and that hit her harder than she expected. The truth was that while she enjoyed spending time with Marcus it wasn't as if the could have a real relationship while she was engaged to be the future Mrs. Malfoy.

On the other hand, there was a big part of her that was glad that he was safe and unhurt. Lily also couldn't deny the fact that Marcus was here now. It couldn't have been easy to find out what happened to her. It wasn't as if he could have asked her family or asked around after her. "I'm glad you were ok." Lily looked up at him and smiled before leaning up to place a kiss on his mouth.

	"Me too." Marcus said with a small smile. It was a brief moment and then they kissed. Kissing her back, Marcus moved to cup her chin in his hand. He lightly stroked her cheek with his thumb before kissing her again. "How long are you going to be in here?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	What was it about lingering kisses that was just so damned alluring? But they certainly were. She didn't want it to end. Perhaps it was the intimacy that Lily craved. Perhaps it was just Marcus. 	Marcus was enjoying her comp-any more than he probably should. She was lovely the way she fit against him and the way that she looked up at him. 	"I'm sure it won't be long." Marcus said before moving to lift her chin so that he could kiss her briefly. "I will see you soon." Marcus said before sliding out of his seat. He paused, dipped his head to kiss her again, a bit longer now, before striding to the door. (Reply to this) (Parent)
