Who: Josef Kostan and Rose Tyler
What: A tour of the office building, friendly chit-chat. Probably at least one-sided flirting.
Where: His office building, around the more business-infested part of town.
When: Backdated to around 10:00 P.M on Tuesday.
Status: In progress.

There were all kinds of scents on the air here in Colligo, especially with the wide variety of species doing all kinds of things everywhere. Josef's nose was often on over-drive out in public and so he had to start training it to take it a little easier. He was already at the building getting his office together inside and so it was really just a matter of biding his time until it was time to meet up with Rose to give her the grand tour of the place. Ah, Rose. He had her desk there too. Not much else but on it sat a vase filled with beautiful white Casablanca lilies. Their long petals stretching like arms in request of a hug.

Josef smiled as he passed them and he exited the building to wait for her outside. The weather was nice, and nighttime was sacred to him. No burn of the sun and not as big of a bustle of human-beings enticing his nose. He already had a couple of Freshies to keep his hunger at bay. So there was no feeding problem. The building was older, not crumbling but out of shape, and Josef knew he was going to have to pour quite a bit of money into it to keep it up. That was where Cassidy, hopefully, would come into play. Josef's nose picked up on her scent and he knew she was close, leaned against the half-open door was he waited for her to come into range of his eyesight.

Josef smiled as she approached and stepped from the door. He could hear the slight hitch in her heartbeat, the speed it gained briefly and he couldn't help but smile. "No worries, I didn't ask you here because I was looking to get delivery." He said softly, took her hand and paused before lifting it as he bent to kiss the back politely, gave it a pat between both of his hands. "It's really a pleasure to meet you in person." She smelled wonderful, and he grinned as the thought of the flowers on her desk hit him. Perfect choice.

"Come on in," The lights were all on, and the entryway was well lit, even if quiet. "I have a few very much non-lethal surprises in store for you." He held the door open for her and once she passed him, he followed her in and moved to point out the elevators. "Top floor for us, it's only ten up in this building." Back home it had been a couple of dozen. So this was rather tiny for him. "I trust you made it here in one piece? Nothing I need to go after anyone about?"

"Good, because you're not getting it," she said with a cheeky grin.

She licked her lips as he took her hand, rather impressed with such a greeting. Nodding in response to his invitation, she headed into the building, looking around as she did so. It was not too bad, but she didn't have the best experience of offices other than those in the Torchwood back on the alternate universe, and even at that she barely set foot in them.

"Surprises? Can't wait. And yes, I'm fine. I'm tougher than I look, promise."

She knew her height and slim figure usually made men think she was not very good at protecting herself, but she knew better. She knew that she could protect herself rather well.

Josef was ever the gentleman, and he didn't really believe there was a woman out there, unless undead, that could always in every situation take care of themself but he didn't smell blood on her so he knew she was telling the truth. As the elevator went up he managed to steal a few glances, studied her. The curve of her figure, slim but not rail thin. Big brown eyes, soft hair. He had to grin a little when the doors popped open, knew he'd made a feast out of her with his eyes and hoped it wouldn't creep her out in the long run.

He led her out of the elevators and into a reception area that was darkened. Flicked the light switch to reveal her modest little desk, the flowers on them as well as a makeshift little name-bar that read "Miss Tyler". "I'll be getting you a nicer one of those made, by the way," he raised his hands in a grand gesture and grinned proudly. "But for now, welcome to Kostan Mobile. We're set to manufacture upgrades and downgrades for the PDA's we show up with. Some people don't like keyboards, some like to be able to listen to music from their phones, some want better cameras, we'll be outfitting those needs of the citizens in town."

She could feel his gaze on her the entire time in the elevator and could not help the little smirk. She knew he was just taking in the way she looked, and took it as quite the compliment when his eyes never left her body. Yes, the fact that he was a vampire and he was checking her out freaked her out a little, but she could deal with it.

She looked around the office as the lights were switched on, smiling a little at the flowers on the desk. She listened to him as she walked over to the desk, picking up the name-bar, before putting it down and leaning against the desk, looking at him.

"Sounds good," she said, smiling at him. "Look at you, all happy at what you've done."

Josef nodded at that statement, smiled back at her. "I am, I don't. . .feel well if I'm not productive. I've always been productive, hundreds of years of productivity, it's like a part of me now." He gestured to the empty sitting area. "Soon as my funds come in the factory will start manufacturing the phones and we'll start selling them once they're tested. What money's left, or whatever we get extra, will go toward getting some nice furniture, re-papering the walls and tearing out the carpets in favor of hard-wood floors. Easier to clean if god-forbid anything happens."

He meant more along the lines of people bringing their kids into the office with them. He never understood that, that was a fairly recent phenomena, people bringing their kids with them to work. He hated it. Had he ever had children he never would have done that. That was another sore subject so he didn't bring it up out loud. "Business magazines on a coffee table, you. ."Traveled to her desk and used his hands to point out where. "Will have a desktop computer, mostly to amuse you when things might be slower on your end, as well as your phone. And if I get this patent together, you'll be able to add ringtones to that with a little chip but, you know, office appropriate. Jazz maybe. Jazz is nice."

He grinned a little and moved back to a set of double doors. "Now, would you care to see my office or would you rather look at wallpaper samples? 'cause I have a book handy."

She listened to him as he spoke about everything, her eyes occasionally looking around when he mentioned certain things about the place. It wasn't the nicest of offices, but it was nice enough. And if he said they would redecorate at some point, she was sure she could live with it for a while.

She watched him as he moved closer, pointing out where the computer would be. He was right next to her now and she took a moment to really look at him. Not too bad, and he seemed to come alive when talking about this. She could tell he was the type to be excited easily by business. She could not help the laugh when he gave her the choices. Pushing herself from the desk, she stood and walked in front of him.

"As exciting as wall paper samples sound, I don't think we're ready for that yet," she said with a cheeky smile. "So perhaps it should be your office...Sir or Josef? Which do I call you?" That cheeky smile still did not leave her face.

"Just Josef," He said with a smile, pushed the door open and flicked on the lights. Josef had already put some work into his office, his chair and desk were a little more ornate, thanks to a wonderful game of poker with some of the locals, and he had Wal-Mart quality rugs over the ickier piece of flooring, it didn't look too bad. And Lord only knew he couldn't work in anything less than at least 'pretty nice'. Picky little bloodsucker that he was he even had dark curtains already over the windows.

"Eventually all of the glass in the building will filter UV rays, we'll get the light but not the ouch factor." He said. "For now I'll need to keep hidden from said ouch. The less I'm in it the better off we all are." Moved to sit up on top of his desk to observe the room and the reception area from that point of view, patted the wood next to him for her to join him. "I won't bite, I promise."

He watched her with a soft smile, eyes gentle and curious. "I think it's about time you tell me a little, teeny thing about yourself, don't you? We can play quid pro quo, I'll share if you share. Big shares get big shares back and so on."

She looked around his room, her eyes instantly being drawn to the dark curtains. It really was the first hint that he was a vampire, either that or people might just assume he doesn't like the sunlight. She nodded as he spoke about the windows, glad that he could do something to protect himself. She didn't want him hurt, after all.

She watched him as he pushed himself onto the desk, then smiled at his invitation. She couldn't help the laugh at his comment on biting, wanting to comment on it but choosing not to. Pushing herself onto the desk next to him, she placed her hands behind her so she was leaning back a little.

"That sounds fair. So...I'm twenty two, from London originally. Was brought up on an estate by my mum, dad died with I was six months old," she said, looking at him and waiting for him to say something.

Josef listened, marked a flash of sadness in her eyes before he smiled softly and thought what to say in return. "I am 410, I was turned around your age, never married or any children..that I know of before then." And he had to smile smugly for a moment. "Always been in the business of making money any which way, live a rather solitary but enjoyable existence." And he nodded his approval at what he said, leaning back on the desk briefly. "Not a lot I can say in a few words without sounding boring, hmmm?"

He slid from the desk to a side table nearby, grabbed a decanter of scotch. "I guess I can add as a freebie, or, bonus, if you like, that before coming here I generally avoided much interaction with humans outside of a snack here and there. A little fooling around, but that seems to be a moot point here, now doesn't it? I haven't met anyone else of my kind so far." He poured a glass and paused, turned to look at her. "Where are my manners, would you care for some?"

[OOC: Sorry for the wait, work and kid have kicked my ass the last couple of days!]

She watched him as he talked, smiling a little sadly. It was a shame he never got to have that life. But then he was being smug and she couldn't help but roll her eyes. So he was that type of man before he became a vampire. She laughed as he claimed he didn't want to sound boring.

"You're not boring."

She watched him as he moved away from the desk, still talking as he did so. She raised her eyebrow when he said he only met with humans for snacks mostly, and she felt that little worry rise again. Yes he said that was not what he wanted, but it didn't stop her being slightly scared. She smiled when he asked about the scotch, nodding.

"Sure, might as well. And I guess if you told me such a thing I should tell you something. For two years I barely had any contact with humans other than for a little while. I was travelling."

How much more of that she would say she did not know. But she already knew it sounded suspicious saying she travelled and yet saw little amount of humans.

(OOC: Don't worry bout it.}
