WHO: Justin Taylor, Buffy Summers and Sookie Stackhouse
WHAT: Having a smoke outside the communal building
WHEN: Friday, October 12th, Evening
WHERE: Outside the communal building
RATING: PG. Possibly PG-13 for language?
STATUS: In Progress

It had been almost a week now since Justin had woken up on an uncomfortable, little cot, surrounded by over a hundred other people who were just as clueless as to what was going on as he was. It had been almost a week and they were no closer to figuring out what was going on then they had been when they'd woken up. It was assumed that they were on another planet, if the two moons were any indication, but so far no one had contacted them or come forward to take credit for kidnapping them. He had tried calling his mother and Brian with the PDA he'd found in his pocket upon waking up, but neither call had gone through, which had made sense once he'd found out that they were probably on another planet. Either way, now that it had been almost a week without hearing from him, he was sure that at least one of them was beginning to worry about him. His money was on his mother realizing it first and pestering Brian until he made the trip to New York to check on him. What would they do when they realized he was actually gone? Would his picture wind up on flyers and on the news? Would they form search parties? There were endless scenarios going through his head and he didn't like thinking that those he loved would be worried about him.

It had taken Justin about a day to find out that whoever had brought them here had also given them money and he had gone out that next morning to get a pack of cigarettes. Of course he would have preferred pot at the moment, because if there was ever a time to get high, it was now. Leaning against the wall, outside of the communal building, Justin took a drag off his last cigarette and held the smoke in his lungs for a moment or two before letting it out and watching the smoke drift up into the chilly evening air. He didn't know what he was going to do if he never got back home, but he was trying to stay as calm about the situation as possible, because freaking out was not going to help any of them.

Buffy was angry, and when she was angry, she paced. Spike was here, and had been for days, and he hadn't come to find her at all. It was funny that he always managed to find her when she didn't want him to. He had spent years doing that. Now, when she had spent a very long time watching him burning over and over again, he was avoiding her. Men...

She walked outside to wait for Spike to return with the bikes, finding another blond man sitting outside. She sat down next to him, still fuming, and debating what to say to her - she didn't even know what to call him. "Would it be too much to ask if you could tell me what is wrong with men?" She looked over at the blond again. He seemed harmless. "Sorry, I'm just angry."

Sookie wasn't sure what was going on, and that is what was really confusing her. She saw them, and headed over to talk them, a blonde guy she didn't know, and a blonde girl she also didn't know. She felt drawn to them for some reason. Se hurried over to both of them, it would be nice to have someone to talk to. She approached them.

"I'm Sookie Stackhouse. It's nice to meet you." She said, looking at both of them. It was such a strange place, this town, and she longed to be back home in Bon Temps. She wanted to see her brother, and La La, and God help her, she even missed Pam. She just wanted to go home. It felt strange, all three of them being blonde. She had never been with so many other blondes at once.

Justin glanced over at the first girl who had come out and smirked as he flicked his cigarette away; he knew that some people didn't appreciate when people smoked around them and since he didn't actually know this girl, he felt that it was better if he wasn't smoking while he spoke to her, "I've been trying to figure out the same thing for a couple of years myself." Justin had gone back and forth with Brian for the last five years and every time he'd thought that he had him figured out, something else happened and he was right back to square one. Although, he was pretty sure that he knew Brian better than Brian knew himself most of the time.

When the second girl came outside, Justin glance over his should at her, his brows raising slightly. This was now the most people he'd talked to at one time since waking up in this place, "Justin Taylor." He glanced at the first girl, waiting for her to introduce herself since it appeared that, that was what they were doing.

Buffy was happy to see another girl come out and join them. She was also glad she was with strangers. Venting about Spike to her friends might be a little awkward, especially when she had denied any feelings for him at all for so long. "I'm Buffy," she said, still not quite ready to sit. "I'm from Sunnydale, California, not that it means anything here, and my - I don't even know what to call him."

She could feel her temper rising again. "Sorry, let me tell you. There is this guy who has chased me forever, and I thought I saw him die, but I guess I didn't because here he is. We were kind of together before, and he used to say he loved me, and then when we woke up here, I saw him across the room, and he spent days avoiding me. I haven't seen him for a year, and now he thinks he can get us out of here, so we can go back and be apart again." She put a hand over her face. "Does that even make sense?"

That all sounded like a mouthful. She nodded at Justin. "It's nice to meet you both." She said, as she turned to look at Buffy. "I.... I'm from Bon Temps, Louisiana, and I miss it. It's a few hours away from New Orleans, most people have never heard of it. It's really small."

Sitting down next to Justin, she turned her attention to Buffy. "I.... that all sounds really confusing. I myself have had so many conflicted feelings towards men, and I.... I am not sure what to tell you, other than maybe you should tell him how you feel. It's always the best option." Sookie said. "I mean, it gets it all out on the open, although, I am not sure how that works, if you saw him die but he's here...." Sookie shook her head.

That all sounded very complicated to her.

Justin hadn't heard of either city, but Sunnydale did sound somewhat familiar, "Pittsburgh. But I was in New York before I woke up here." He ran a hand through his hair as he listened to both girls; it was obvious from her body language alone that Buffy was upset and Sookie was clearly still confused about what was going on. What was also pretty obvious was that all three of them had, had their fair share of guy problems. "It took my boyfriend five years and me almost getting killed twice to tell that he loved me." Justin had always known that Brian loved him, but he had known how Brian felt about love and relationships, so he had almost convinced himself that he would never actually hear it, which was why he was so reluctant to believe him when he'd finally said it.

"I agree with Sookie. You should definitely tell him how you feel." Justin said, nodding as he looked from one blond to the other. Talking about boys was not what Justin had expected when he'd come outside, but it was actually nice to talk to new people and in a way this reminded him of spending time with Daphne back home.

"It's about time he stepped up," Buffy told Justin with a small smile. She was actually glad that he was gay, and not offended at all. He actually could be a friend, both of them could. Sookie seemed like a new ally and confidant too.

"Men suck," she said, looking at the other blond woman, laughing a little. "This one does literally. He's a vampire, and I'm a slayer. We've hated each other. He was there when I needed someone, and I used him, knowing he was in love with me, but he grew on me." She sighed and finally sat. "He did some awful things, but he has been through the worst with me. I denied feeling anything over and over to him, to me, especially to me."

"The worst part, and trust me, this is like a small part of what happened, was that I said it during the last battle. He didn't believe me, and I didn't believe me, but then I watched him burn up to seal the Hellmouth, and all I wanted was for him to come back. He saved us. He died a champion, and he wanted to stay that way." She put a hand to her forehead dramatically. "I really should kick his ass for good measure, and then I will talk to him."

"I'm actually waiting for him." She shrugged and leaned back against the wall. "So tell me how ridiculous I am."

Sookie could not actually believe it. She nodded. "I've dated a vampire too, and had sex with another one." Although, technically, she supposed that she could have been considered to be dating Eric too. She didn't really count it because she didn't believe she'd have fallen for him without him having lost his memory. S

"You're right, they really do suck. I mean, you have to come right out and tell them exactly what you are thinking. You can't be subtle with them because they never get it." Sookie said, shaking her head. She supposed that vampires should be better at it, since they had been alive long enough that they should have figured out the human condition and how relationships worked.

Sookie tucked some blonde hair behind her ear. She wasn't sure what else to tell Buffy except she should talk to her boyfriend and tell him how she felt. "It's just easiest that way, because he isn't going to know what you are thinking unless you tell him. It's the most honest way."

When Buffy said she was waiting for him, Sookie shook her head. "I don't think you're ridiculous, you love him and you want to make sure he knows it."

Justin's brows rose slightly as he listened to the two girls. Vampires? Were they serious? Vampires didn't exist. Did they? He supposed that if they were on another planet at the moment then anything else could be possible. "You guys are serious, aren't you? There are actually vampires where you come from." Justin had seen a lot in the last five years, but that was something he'd never thought he'd ever encounter. "But you guys aren't, vampires, right?" Both girls seemed human, but he supposed that you never could tell for sure unless a vampire was attacking you. He glanced back and forth between the two blondes, looking for any signs that one or both of them might also be a vampire.

His brow furrowed slightly as he waited for them to answer before a small smirk spread across his lips, "And how to vampires have sex anyway? Their blood doesn't flow, so how do they get it up?" This was definitely not a conversation Justin ever thought he would be having.

Buffy nodded to the other blond girl. "Men, I swear," she smiled a little bit. Who would have thought that she would be talking like this about Spike at any point in her life? This was Spike. He had wanted her dead for years, even though she wasn't sure he was ever as serious as he tried to let on. "My first serious boyfriend was another vampire. Spike is the second. I just don't know what to do. I should tell him, but he didn't believe me the last time."

She looked at Justin, who seemed concerned over all this talk of vampires. "Yes, I am human, at least so far, and trust me, they can have sex. I don't know how the blood flow thing works, but they are typical men." She smiled at him, glad to be laughing a little after all that stress.

Sookie wasn't exactly human, but she didn't know if she should just volunteer that information. She didn't know if they would think she was weird or not. And she supposed she was somewhat human, since she didn't have that much faery blood in her. She nodded.

"I know, dating vampires is definitely not worth the trouble." She agreed. Sookie didn't know why she kept getting tangled with them. "I don't think I want to get involved with them anymore." She said, shaking her head. "I was... well, sort of involved with a were, but I don't really know what's gone on with that, and since I'm not in Bon Temps, he probably thinks I just left him or something."

That was the worst part, she didn't know how to get in contact with Alcide and tell him where she was. And not just Alcide, none of her friends or her brother Jason knew where she was. How was she supposed to let them know she was okay? She ran her hands through her long blonde hair.

"I'm human too." She said, nodding. And she laughed too. "Yeah, vampires can have sex. I'm not sure how either, but it's amazing." Sookie agreed.

"I'm sure my sister is worried." She put a hand on her forehead. "She and I were trying this normal life, but I was so bored. Maybe they will bring her here." She had been so focused on seeing Spike again that she hadn't thought about Dawn at home. "I'm such a bad sister."

She laughed when Sookie said that the vampires weren't worth the trouble. "They bring nothing but trouble. I never thought I would say this - I mean EVER. I love him. I could never quite tell him, at least not the way he wanted, mostly because he did so many weird things, like making this robot who looked like me. Oh my God, that was so -." She shook her head at the thought of the Buffy-bot. "Before the battle, we spent some nights together, and one night he just held me and we talked, and I knew, and then I watched him burn up." She hadn't been prepared to lose him. He had been in her life for so long, practically since she became a slayer. "You know what's really, ABSOLUTELY crazy. I can't stop thinking about him, over the last year, and I'm pissed, but I'm so happy to see him."
