Who: Melinda and Sookie (NPC a young woman to help get Melinda to the hospital)
Where: Pie Shop to begin with and then around Colligo
When: Saturday evening
What: Melinda hallucinates being chased by a demon and almost dies (her fear is getting killed by a demon like her grandmother and Aunt Prue)
Status/Rating: Incomplete/R
Warnings: Language, fighting and almost death (if someone can get her to the hospital on time or heal her fast enough)

(OOC: Melinda isn't going to get hurt just quite yet. Thought someone would want to help her and she would freak out a little bit, then make it seem like she can't breathe cause she's being choked or maybe the demon beats her up and then she becomes unconscious in front of that person)


Melinda had the radio on as she was in the back of the pie shop baking up a storm. She loved to bake pies and always got creative with the fruit at times. She made an apple blueberry pie and that was too good. As she was cutting up some apples when she took a sniff and noticed that yellow stuff had gone up her nose. What was that all about? She shook it off and began to go back to what she was doing.

About thirty minutes later, she saw someone walking in and started talking to her. She had recognized this person years ago, back at home. It wasn't easy to vanquish him but her and her brothers did. He was dressed in black robes, she started to panic. "Well, if it isn't Melinda Halliwell." Melinda shook her head, "No no no, we vanquished you." It was the Source of all evil, now she remembered. Putting the knife down she saw that he had a fireball in his hand and he threw it and Melinda ducked.

Melinda then started to run, she didn't know where she was going, she just needed to get away and orbing wasn't really going to do the trick. Just when she thought she had gotten away, the Source had flamed right in front of her and Melinda screamed. "What do you want?" The Source took his finger and pointed at her. Melinda started to shake her head, her heart was beginning to pound. Just as the source was about to throw another fireball at her she orbed and then appeared behind a building, this is not happening, this is not happening, she thought to herself.

Melinda started shaking she was just so frightened. She didn't want this demon that was so powerful to kill her, she didn't deserve to die. She needed to protect this other girl but didn't know how because she was just so frightened.

"I don't think. It is after me, or perhaps us. I don't know." She looked at her, sweating dripping from her face. "What are you talking about. He's right there." She pointed to the male that she saw with a fireball. She tried to blow him up. It only worked for about 15 seconds and then it appeared again. Without the rest of the Power of Three, she knew she was screwed.

During those 15 seconds she managed to grab this girl and take her somewhere else, hopefully where he couldn't get to them. "I'm Melinda. Look, without my other brother there is no way that I can defeat this thing. He's the most powerful demon out there, very dangerous."

Sookie had felt strange when they had teleported. Sookie had been through some strange shit, but that was something else. "How did you do that and what the hell is the Power of Three?" She asked, she really had to stop getting in this other girl's head, but she couldn't help it. It was what she had to do in order to learn things so they could get out of this situation.

It was odd, this place. She didn't know how she had ended up here but it seemed even crazier than Bon Temps. "Holy fuck this place..." She muttered, looking around.

"I still didn't see this man... but if he really is there there has to be a way to defeat him without your brother..." She said, looking at her. Sookie wanted to help this girl, she just didn't have the foggiest idea of how to do it.

Looking at her, really? There was something after them and she was asking about her powers. "I have powers alright. Power of three is when me and my two brothers get together and we can be a lot powerful and we can defeat all likes of evil. But its never going to happen because Wyatt is not here." She said with a sigh.

"I know. Now shhhhh." She shushed her so that she could scope the place out. "Sorry, just don't want him to find us or anything."

"No, the only way to defeat him is with a power of three spell." She had told him and then she saw him and got really really scared. "Oh crap, he found us. And he is angry." She shook her head as she saw the Source getting closer and closer to her. "No, leave me alone!" She screamed at him. But it was too late, the source grabbed her by the throat and Melinda started making choking sounds.

Sookie freaked out a little when she couldn't stop Melinda from making choking sounds or screaming. Sookie didn't know what Melinda had been talking about, but she guessed it must be that Melinda was a witch. Sookie had dealt with witches before, and honestly, she wasn't sure if she wanted to deal with one again.

Right now, though, she tried to get Melinda to stop choking. "Melinda, it's okay.... stop, breathe! Tell me how to help you!" She cried. She couldn't pull any thoughts from her head, and it was freaking her out a little.

"Melinda!" Sookie cried, screaming. "Somebody help!"

Melinda's eyes bugged out. Why not kill her with a fireball, as the source had his hands on her throat he smiled. "I don't need magic to kill you witch. I'm going to enjoy slowly killing you." Melinda started shaking and shaking her head. She was really scared now.

Looking over at Sookie she tried to get his hands off of her. She was hitting him and was trying to get her hands to blow him off of her but she couldn't.

Then when her eyes closed, he threw her to the ground. He enjoyed watching her suffer. Melinda fell to the ground unconscious and was just laying there unable to move, but she was breathing but barely.

Sookie started to cry. She hated when things like this happened and she wasn't able to do anything to help. "Somebody help!" She cried. She searched her pockets for her cell phone, but she was so new to town, did 911 even work here? She didn't have her cell phone, so she searched Melinda for hers.

She had seen in Melinda's head how scared she was. Sookie found a cell phone in Melinda's pocket, and called 911, to get someone there to help her. She told the dispatcher she was new to town, and had to frantically look around for the street sign.

The woman told Sookie how to do CPR, so she could help. She worked on that while she was waiting for the paramedics to get there. What kind of place had she ended up in? It was just as full of trouble as Bon Temps was.

Melinda was laying there unconscious. Unable to move, she couldn't see anything, everything was pitch black.

A young woman had came over and saw this girl giving another girl CPR and on the phone. She helped this girl out and then finally she said, "I'll help you get her to the hospital alright. I think you've done everything that you could. It looks like she's still breathing though. Come on." She picked the girl up and started to carry her to the hospital. "What exactly happened?"

Wiping her face, Sookie pushed some of her blonde hair out of her eyes. "I... I was walking along, and I saw her. She was scared about something, so I tried to help her out." Sookie paused, she was still a little upset.

"She was freaking out, and she.... she teleported us here from where we were. I'm new in town, so I don't really know where we were.. but she was freaking out, said the Source was after her. I don't know who that is, but she was definitely sure that he was after her. I tried to help her, and then she just started choking on her own..."

Sookie kept her mind reading to herself, everyone back home had known about it, but now she could keep it to herself. Maybe no one would look at her like she was crazy Sookie.

As they were walking, the young woman just nodded her head. "Well, I'm sure she will be fine and everything." Then they got to the hospital and they got Melinda all checked in.

A few hours later, Melinda opened up her eyes and looked around. Seeing that she was hooked into an IV. "Where am I?" She looked more afraid now because she didn't know where she was.

"Sookie? Are you here? Hello? Somebody? Anybody?" She was aasking around.

Sookie was outside Melinda's room, she had decided she would stay until she knew if Melinda was okay. She just didn't like to leave people when she knew they were in trouble. It was against her nature. She went back into Melinda's room.

"It's me, I'm here." She told the other girl, wondering what the other girl was thinking. She got that she was scared. Sookie said, "You're okay. You're in the hospital, and you're going to be just fine." She told her.

Melinda was so glad that Sookie was still here with her. "Oh thank goodness that you're still here. I looked around and thought that everyone just left me here." She was really hoping that her brother wouldn't find out what happened to her until she was fully out of the hospital but of course that wasn't going to happen, he would find out sooner or later.

"Thank you for saving my life Sookie, but I don't think I'm out of the loop yet. Can you do me a favor, this will protect me." She closed her eyes and said, "CRYSTALS" Just then the crystals that were in her apartment appeared in her hands. "Can you put these around the room. They will protect me because the Source can't get me if I'm surrounded by the crystals."

Sookie was surprised that Melinda seemed to have so many powers. It was a little crazy. She nodded though, and put the crystals around the room. "I am glad you're okay." She said, when she was finished. She went to sit next to Melinda.

"I..... tell me more about the Source. And I would never leave you until I know you're going to be okay." She said, nodding. Sookie probably should, it was none of her business, but the good person she was was not going to let her leave. This was a plus, though, at least no one was going to find out about Debbie, and if they did, they didn't know where she was. That was one less thing on her mind.

As she handed Sookie the crystals and watch her put them around, she was setting them in all the right places. She just wanted to be safe because she would definitely have nowhere to run this time being hooked up to monitors and stuff.

"The source was this very powerful demon, the lord of the underworld you can probably put it. He tried to kill my mom and my aunts a few times, in fact my aunt was married to him and become the queen of the underworld but she snapped out of it and eventually was able to help vanquish him. I have never had to go up against him so to speak but with the stories, I was always afraid that he would show up." She said shrugging her shoulders. "No demon can get anywhere when there are crystals around and if they tried then they would be zapped and it would hurt."

Sookie didn't know how anyone could deal with the source of all evil. Sookie definitely thought Eric was good at being evil. She knew the only reason she had fallen for him was because he hadn't had his memories. He was arrogant and only cared about himself. That was another good thing, that she wasn't going to have to see him.

"I don't blame you for being scared. I would have been too." Sookie said, nodding. "Especially if he's been after your family for so long." She agreed.

Melinda just wanted this to be over. She hated being scared for her life and with something that Sookie couldn't even see. It was just really horrible, they needed to figure out what was going on here. And soon, after she got out of the hospital she was going to look through the book of shadows, or even talk with Chris about what was going on.

"I still am very much afraid. I don't know if the crystals would work especially since I'm the only one that can see him." She gave her a concerning look. "Yeah but my family is pretty famous in the magical world, we're pretty powerful."

Sookie figured she could trust Melinda, if Melinda had told her all of these things. "So..... I'm..... I'm a faery." She said, not sure how she was going to explain it to her. Sookie didn't think she understood it all herself.

"Do you... I mean, I'm supposed to not really have a lot of faery blood in me, but I can make these balls of light with my hands.... and I can read minds." Sookie told her. "I really hate the mind reading part.... and I have no control over the balls of light."

Melinda sat in the hospital bed and looked at Sookie. "Really? That's pretty cool. I knew some faeries back home. They didn't look like you, they were the little flying ones." She said laughing a little bit.

"Oh you want to know about my powers. Well, I can't shoot balls of light and I can't read minds, but I can do a lot of things. I can blow things up, I can freeze things, Orb which is moving from place to place in these white lights. Move things just by saying them, hence why the crystals from my apartment came all the way here. I can heal, but not myself, but I can heal other people, then I have agility and high resistance, I believe that's all." She said as she described what she could do. "I don't think I would like mind reading and knowing what everybody was thinking."

Laughing, Sookie nodded. "Yeah, I really hate being able to mind read.... I mean, I can control it and everything, but it takes a lot of practice and it's exhausting. I prefer to just have no knowledge of anything that anyone thinks about." Sookie thought she and Melinda were going to be great friends.

"I hate having any kind of powers, really, I'd rather just be normal." Sookie said, and sighed. "But in Bon Temps, where I'm from, faeries are totally different than the little flying ones." She told her, nodding. "They are disguised as humans, and they have pointy ears that they have to cover up. But they are also off in their own portal, and they don't leave it very often. If faery blood is like... like alcohol to vampires... and it can let them walk in the sun. They stay hidden to protect themselves."

What the hell was wrong with her? Just spilling all of her secrets like that? Sookie was going to have to learn to keep things to herself.

Melinda sat there and then took a drink from her water cup that was sitting there. Her throat really hurt, yeah she knew why too, she just didn't want to end up getting killed this time. "Yeah I bet, my Aunt Phoebe is an empath, you can feel what other people are feeling. At first she didn't like it and my mom and other Aunt got annoyed by it but now she's pretty much used to it." She said shrugging her shoulders.

"I love my powers, mostly because I get to learn more about who I am. See there's this school called Magic School, its a pretty secret place that only magical people can get into. You take classes as if you are in high school, you graduate and then you get to go to any college. So your getting a great education but more with it with classes specifically for your powers as well." She loved going there and she wasn't the odd one out. "That's kind of interesting to know, that Faeries are different in different places."

Sookie sighed. "I just... I've always been labeled "Crazy Sookie" and it's not fun or cool. I have always had to worry about what I hear. I hear things that I don't really want to know, and it gets me into trouble." Sookie got really tired of always being chased by people, but at least she was safe from anyone who was investigating Debbie Pelt's murder. Sookie didn't want to be found out, even if Debbie was the one who shot Tara and would have killed Sookie.

"I am glad that you enjoy yours, though." She told her.

"Hey I've been called a lot worse than that. I've been called a freak, and I've also been called crazy because they think that what I'm telling them doesn't really happen. I just go along with it because I shouldn't have to prove myself, I just let people think what they want to think." She said as she shrugged her shoulders and took another drink from her water. "I'm sure that it does, I mean you get to hear people's thoughts and some of that could be really personal, but its not like you can help it though."

"Yeah, you would enjoy it too if you had these amazing powers." She said laughing, "I enjoy it because if a guy tries to mess with me, I can just orb their balls to god knows where, its a lot of fun to threaten them like that." She laughed again.
