Who: Sookie and Open
When: 08/04/12
Where: the Roadhouse
What: applying for a job
Warnings: TBA

The new place Sookie had found herself in was weird. She missed Bon Temps. She missed her brother. She missed her friends. Sookie had not liked being just dumped in the road. She had decided that since she didn't know where home was, she would work on getting employment and a house and whatnot. Sookie was not college educated, but she was resourceful. She wanted to make sure that she was taken care of. Since waitressing was what she knew, it was a good place to start. She went to the bar and decided to apply.

While she was filling out the application, Sookie glanced around. It was a lot different than Merlotte's. Sookie missed Sam, too. He was the one boss she'd been able to trust. She had had to work at staying out of his mind, and she was glad she had. Sookie had liked having a regular job that she hadn't had to worry about quitting. Sookie liked that.

The place was nice though. It seemed like it would work for her to make sure she had food on the table. Sookie didn't know anyone here and that was going to make things difficult at first.

"Uh, no, but I need to talk to you privately when you have a second," Chris said finally, giving her a smile, trying to assure any fear she might have had.

He couldn't feel her being a witch, but who knew, considering. She might not have woken up just yet.

He moved away from her to allow her room to finish her application, waiting for her to decide when and where they spoke.

After Sookie had finished filling out all she had to, she curiously turned to the man. She wondered what he was going to say to her. She had just gotten here, and she was wondering how he knew who she was already. She looked at him curiously.

"So what can I do for you?" She asked, unaware as to what she thought he might want. She was trying to hold her in her mind reading powers, Sookie didn't know any of these people and she didn't want to hear something she didn't want to.

"I hate doing this," he said, running a hand through his hair. "Look, I'm what's known as a whitelighter, someone charged with guiding, training and protecting those with...powers. I'm not sure why, but I've been...assigned to you, to protect and guide you." he said in a rush.

"What?" Sookie asked, looking at him in disbelief. "A whitelighter?" She didn't know if she believed any of this. "And I can barely control my powers, how the hell do you know I have any?" Sookie didn't even know why he knew. This was awful.
