Who: Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and Lily Potter (With Luke Potter)
What: Sirius is bored, Remus decides to get him out of the flat
When: Tuesday, July 10th. Early evening
Where: The park
Status: In Progress

As happy as Remus was that Sirius was back, he wasn't exactly thrilled at the idea of Sirius using his books to make a fort. None of them were particularly old books, but that didn't mean that Remus wanted them used to make a fort, which had the possibility of collapsing and ruining and pages and/or spines of the books, depending on how they landed. As he had walked home from work, Remus had devised a plan to get Sirius out of the flat for a little while and try to alleviate his boredom. Remus had called Lily as he walked home and had asked her if she would mind meeting them in the park with Luke, because he thought that Sirius might enjoy seeing them for a little bit. They had agreed on meeting in half an hour, which should give Remus plenty of time get Sirius up and out the door.

Reaching the flat, Remus went in, bracing himself for whatever mess Sirius may have left in his wake. Truth be told, Remus didn't exactly mind all that much when Sirius left things around the flat, because it reminded him that Sirius was there again and that he hadn't simply missed him so much that he'd imagined it, "Sirius, where are you?" Closing the door behind him, he walked through the living room to where there was an unmistakable fort of books, "I'm guessing this is what you'd always wanted to do with the books in the library at Hogwarts, isn't it?"

"We'll have to sort out a party." Sirius straightened up as Remus got Luke out of his carriage. A pigeon fluttered a bit close to the path they were stood upon and Sirius stared at it for a second before deciding not to chase it off and instead turning his attention back to Lily. He stepped around to fall into step beside her.

"You want me to carry that?" he nodded towards the bag she was holding before gesturing towards the play area. "Might as well head over that way." There was a place where they could entertain the sprog there. Plus he was pretty sure you could buy more coffee, which was good seeing as the effects of mug Remus had tried to confiscate from him were rapidly wearing off.

"I don't know, maybe just us three and James Sirius." She may use to be quite willing to spend a lot of time with people but recently she wanted to keep to herself. It was strange how things were ever since she lost James. She wanted him back and until then she was likely to stay to herself and occasionally the boys. She gave Sirius a small smile, handing him the bag over and pushing the empty stroller toward the play area he had pointed out.

"I'm sure he would love some time with his uncles." And she also knew that it would make her happy for him to have some time with some males. She had to try and hide the sadness in her eyes.

"I think that might be a good idea," Remus said in response to Lily's suggestion of a small get together for Luke's birthday instead of a big party. If James were there then that would certainly be another story, but he understood completely why Lily preferred not to have a big party, "I think James Sirius would enjoy that as well. I feel bad that his cousin was sent home." Remus knew that it wasn't easy when almost everyone you knew was gone and you were the only one left.

Remus smiled at Luke as they walked then at Lily, "Are you sure you feel safe leaving him in Sirius' care? I know I'm more than trustworthy, but even with me around, Sirius still manages to get into some sort of trouble," He glanced at Sirius, smirking, showing that he was only teasing, not that he thought that Sirius would get offended or anything, but he could never be too sure.

"Oh, ha ha." Sirius grinned and reached out absently to flick Remus' ear, not quite hard enough to cause him any real pain or upset the baby. But if he insisted on taking the piss, he was going to get a flicked ear. That was how things worked in Sirius-land. "I am so responsible it's ridiculous. I'm like a responsible person living on responsible lane. Responsibly."

[OOC: Sorry for the short tag! Wanted to get a tag in. :P]

"Yes, I do too." Besides he was her grandson and as weird as that was sometimes, she wanted to help and look after him. She valued her family and that meant doing whatever she could to help them whenever she had the chance. Even if it meant going out of her way. But inviting her grandson to a small get together was not exactly difficult. It would be nice she guessed. Luke deserved something nice for his first birthday.

"Sirius you are the least responsible person I have ever known." That was an exaggeration but she needed the light relief that came with taking the piss out of Sirius. Even if her smile was still not quite reaching her eyes.

"If I am not the only one who thinks it than it must be true." Remus said, the ghost of a smirk upon his lips as he tried to duck away from being flicked while at the same time, keeping a firm hold on Luke, who was tugging at the collar of Remus' shirt. "For one thing, if you were responsible than you wouldn't have used my books to make a fort." Yes, he was still sore about that. Books were Remus' equivalent to Sirius' bike and Remus knew how upset Sirius could get if someone messed with his bike.

Sirius did a very good job of tossing his hair, although his feigned look of indignation didn't quite meet his eyes, which were crinkled at the edges with amusement. He could deal with teasing from his friends, after all, even if his understanding didn't always stretch out into people he didn't like too much. "Well," he scoffed, "I can tell when I'm not wanted."

And he twisted, turned, and changed into a giant black dog that bounded off to chase the pigeon that had been winding him up a few minutes ago. Ever since the whole Azkaban business, Sirius had found himself with even more of an urge to run around and chase things than he had before. And it had been one of his favourite things to do to start with. Quite frankly, it was a surprise he ever stood still at all.

Padfoot returned a moment later, giving the back of Lily's hand a quick lick before bracing his paws against Remus' hip and propping himself up on his hind legs against him, putting his face close to the baby's.

"That is being responsible in his eyes."

But when Sirius brushed them off, she rolled her eyes and laughed with another fond shake of her head. But then Padfoot was in his place and soon left their side. She was fine with that of course it wasn't like he could get into any trouble they couldn't apologise for. People would just think him a normal hyperactive dog.

"He just can't help it can he?"

Of course, that was also said fondly. She adored Sirius with everything she had and despite him annoying her from time to time she would never dislike him. She smiled at the lick, looking down at him and giving him the briefest of pets. But as he lifted himself up to come close to Luke she barely flinched. She trusted Sirius in both human and dog form not to hurt him and as her son lit up, clapping his hands and babbling in baby talk with the added giggle, she most definitely couldn't argue.
